The world seems to be missing love. Not love as the world calls it, but real love.
I am talking about the kind of love Paul writes about in
I Corinthians 13:4-7, which says, "Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
This is the kind of love we should be showing each other.
God showed us this kind of love by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on an old rugged cross for our sins.(John 3:16)
Jesus rose from the dead and He is at the right hand of the Father. One day He is coming back.
We should love the Lord with all of our being and love others as ourselves.
Lord,
Thank you for loving us.
Help us to love each other.
