The Coming of the Lord

There is a theme in many of the letters written by the Apostle Paul.  That theme is Faith, Love, and Hope.

These are the things that we believers in Jesus Christ should hold close to our hearts and be implanted in our minds.

We believe that we have sinned and have fallen short of God's high standards.  We can not save ourselves.  We need a savior.

We believe that Jesus came to earth to live a perfect sinless life and died on the cross, shedding His blood on the cross for our sins.  He rose from the dead after three days.

We place our Faith in His finished work on the cross and trust Him as our Lord and Savior.

We Love Him with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, and our entire being.  We are to love others as well.

We also have Hope that one day Jesus Christ will return to this earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  We have Hope that we will be with Jesus forever.

I Thessalonians 4:16-18 says,

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,
with a loud command, with the voice of
the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first.

After that, we who are still alive and are left
will be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air.

And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words."

One day, perhaps very soon, Jesus Christ will come back as He promised.  

This world is not our home.  We have a heavenly home waiting for us.

The Lord will come to take us to be with Him.

Are you clinging to the Faith, Love, and Hope that we have in Jesus Christ?

Lord,
We praise You.
We trust You in all things.
Come soon Lord.
May we be found faithful when You come.
