Keep Watch

The world around us is changing rapidly and not in a very good way.

We are living in turbulent times.   The days will get tougher as the world tries to distance itself from the true living God and anything pure and holy.

Jesus tells us in the Bible that there will be false teachers, nation will be against nation, there will be persecution for those who are believers in Christ, and because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. (Matthew 24)

We know that one day Jesus will return in all of His Glory.

We don't know when.

It could be today.

It could be tomorrow.

It could be some time from now.

Mathew 24:36-42 says,

"No one knows about the day or hour,
not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father.

As it was in the days of Noah,
so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood,
people were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage up to
the day Noah entered the ark;

and they knew nothing about what would happen
until the flood came and took them all away.

This is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Two men will be in the field;
one will be taken and the other left.

Two women will be grinding with a hand mill;
one will be taken and the other left.

Therefore keep watch, because you don't know on what day
your Lord will come."

We believers in Christ need to be alert.

We must continue to trust and serve the Lord Jesus each and everyday.

We must pray that the Lord would stir up a fresh faith in our lives.

We need to go to Him in prayer and feed on upon His Word.

Pray that others will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior before its too late.

Are we living for Jesus or are we living like the world around us?

Let us keep watch for Jesus.

Lord,
Help us to watch our lives closely that we may know we are following You and not the ways of the world around us.

Help us to have a fresh faith in You, Jesus.

Stir up the Holy Spirit in all who believe in You.

Revive us O Lord.

Place our feet on the Rock.

Thank You Lord for being an Awesome, Loving God.

In Jesus Mighty name

Amen.
