God's Word

I read the Bible everyday.  I really want to read more, but sometimes I get distracted by other things.
Sometimes I start reading and the phone rings.  It is really weird though.  I have heard other people tell me when they try to read God's Word some kind of  distraction occurs.  It is just like the devil to try to prevent us from reading the Bible.

The Lord wants us to read the Bible.  We learn more about Him and He can even speak to us through His Word.  The Holy Spirit will highlight something we just read if we are paying attention,

There is so much in the Bible to learn.  We could be reading the same passage for years then all of a sudden we discover something we didn't notice before.  That is the Holy Spirit illuminating Scripture.

We should be reading the Bible everyday and praying to the Lord that He would speak to us through His Word and His Holy Spirit.

Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path,"

We must stay in the Word so we can discern between the truth and lies that the world throws at us.

Allow God's Word to light your path as you walk with Him,

Lord,
We thank You for the Holy Word, the Bible.
We thank you for speaking to us and protecting us,
Help us to be firmly established upon Your Word of Truth,
