The Holy Bible is God's Word to us. There were several authors of the several books of the Bible, but they were all inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Word of God is living and powerful.
We as believers in Jesus Christ ought to be feeding upon His Holy Word each and everyday. I know that is challenging for all of us these days. We are so busy with others things, but shouldn't we put God first in our lives.
He has something to say to us each and everyday in His Word if we are paying attention and listening to what He has to say.
Psalm 1 says,
"Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel
of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers,
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on His law He meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted be streams of water which yields its fruit
in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish."
We need to develop the habit of meditating on God's Word. That just means to take some scripture and think about it in our minds and allow the Holy Spirit to apply it to our hearts.
The Lord provided us with the Holy Bible for us to read, study, and to live by.
God is still speaking to us through His Word and the Holy Spirit.
Are we listening?
Lord,
We Thank You for giving us the Holy Bible.
May we make time to read more of Your Word and apply it to our lives.
In Jesus name
Amen.
