Last night my brother and I went to a gospel concert here in Houlton, Maine. The singer was Jason Crabb and he was really good. He sang great songs that showed his love for the Lord Jesus.
The place was sold out and everyone had a great time. Jason also took time to talk to the audience about his faith in Jesus and he mentioned his grandmother who was a wonderfully Spirit filled woman who loved the Lord and would pray for anyone anywhere.
When Jason Crabb finished his last song of the night he left us with this statement, he said, "Whatever you do, don't miss heaven."
I thought that was very good statement to leave us with. It got me to thinking. How many people do we know will miss heaven.
There is only one way into heaven and that is the absolute truth. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
That is a very bold statement that Jesus made. He is the only way into heaven.
He is the only one to shed His blood for our sins. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Not just yours and mine, but for the whole world. The price has been paid in full. The only thing a person needs to do is receive this gift of salvation.
Jesus died for you. Jesus loves us so much that even when we were still sinners He died for us.
Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
Whatever you do, don't miss heaven. Don't miss what Jesus did for you.
Lord,
I thank You for saving a wretch like me.
I ask that You touch each one that reads this blog and encourage them to seek You and trust You.
In Jesus name
Amen
