Having A Powerful Testimony

When I think of a powerful testimony I think of the apostle Paul when he was known as Saul.
Saul was persecuting Christians.   He was on his way to Damascus to arrest the Christians there.

While he was on his way a bright light appeared in the sky and Jesus spoke to Saul.   Saul who would later be known as Paul came to know Jesus as His Lord and Savior.  Paul was used to spread the gospel on various Missionary journeys.  Paul also wrote a lot of the New Testament writings while being inspired by the Holy Spirit.

That is what I call a powerful testimony, but you know what.  Your testimony and mine are just as powerful.

We were living in sin,  We were convicted of our sins and we knew we needed a savior.   We could not save our selves so we received Jesus as our Lord and savior.  Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross by shedding His blood.

Our Testimony isn't truly about us.  It is about Jesus and what He did and what He continues to do for us.  What a Savior!

In I Thessalonians chapter 1, Paul tells about how the Thessalonian Christians had such a powerful testimony that wherever Paul went people were telling him about the Thessalonians faith.  They told how they had turned away from idols and turned to the true and living God.

What a powerful testimony!

Lord,
I thank You for giving we who believe in You a powerful testimony.
You are Holy and worthy of all praise.
In Jesus name
Amen
