There is a difference between wisdom and knowledge. Some people have a lot of knowledge, but they lack the wisdom to apply it. I know of world famous scientists who are brilliant and have more knowledge than most people on the planet and yet they deny that there is a God.
Psalm 14:1 says, "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."..." Anyone who denies that there is a God is a fool. Denying that there is a God is not a wise thing to do.
There is One God and He is the Lord. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the true living God and the One revealed to us in the Bible, the only book that reveals the absolute truth about God and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.
When Jesus was finishing up His Sermon on the Mount He finished by talking about the wise and foolish builders. We find that in Matthew 7:24-27 which says,
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash,"
May we not be foolish, but let us instead be wise and put into practice what Jesus teaches us in the Word of God.
Lord,
Thank You for Your love and Your teachings.
Help us to be wise when applying Your Word to our lives.
In Jesus name
Amen,
