Sometimes in life we face challenges and difficult times that test our faith. There are times when we are placed in certain circumstances where we realize that we are totally dependent upon God alone and that is not a bad place to find ourselves in actuality. Whether we realize it or not we truly are dependent upon the Lord. We may like to think we are in total control of our lives, but we aren't in control of anything at all.
That can be scary to some people because we like being the center of our universe. We can be very self centered and prideful. We can't add a single minute to our lives or even an inch to our height. The Lord wants us to trust Him and to love Him with our entire being.
We have no idea what the immediate future holds for us, but God knows our future and He is already there waiting for us. The Lord is indeed trustworthy and He is faithful to His promises. When we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we are forgiven of our sins and have a place in Heaven waiting for us.
Sometimes when trials come the devil will try to whisper doubts in our ears, but we must not listen to his petty lies. We must lean upon the Lord in times of hardship. Sometimes it may seem difficult to trust anyone because people disappoint us or hurt us, but we can always trust the Lord. He has our best interest in mind all the time. There will be times when it doesn't seem that way, but He will even use times of difficultly to strengthen our faith and dependence upon Him alone.
God is always good and we know He is good all the time. He also works out all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. What an amazing God we serve. He does care for us and He loves us so greatly.
When life seems hard and difficult, and it will be at times for all of us, we must remember that the Lord is on our side if we are known by Him. We are known by Him when we put our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
Let us continue to trust the Lord each step of the way until He takes us Home one great day.
Lord,
Thank You for Your love and the hope that we have in You.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
