The Lord Is Our Provider

Sometimes we go through life with blinders on.  We fail to see the suffering that is all around us until someone points it out to us.  Sometimes we like to pretend that things aren't as bad as they seem.  We need to open our eyes to the people who are suffering all around us.  They are in our communities, in our families, in our places of work, and even in the pew sitting next to you in church.

There is so much pain and there are many people in trouble.  There people who are wondering where there next meal will come from.  There are people who can't raise their kids because they are in jail.  There are kids who face uncertain futures because their parents are in trouble with the law. 

There are elderly people who are facing eviction from their homes because they can no longer afford to stay.  There is much suffering.  There are troubles all around.  We believers in Jesus Christ are sitting smack dab in the middle of a huge mission field.  The question remains, "What are we going to do about?"

We know that the Lord provides.  We know that all things are possible with God.  We know that there are people all around us that need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.  The answers to the problems that are all around us can be solved by the Lord our God and He in His divine knowledge can use us to accomplish great things for His Glory.

The Lord is our great provider.  He will provide the means and the resources if we are willing to step out of our comfort zones and onto the stormy seas of life.  It will not be by our power or might, but it will be in the Lord's power through His Holy Spirit who indwells everyone who has put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

We must take advantage of every opportunity that the Lord puts into our path.  The Lord has a task for us to accomplish.  I was at a local nursing home today and as I was leaving one of the residents stopped me in the hall wall and asked if I would pray for her right there and then.  I said of course I would and we prayed hard for her request.  I could feel the warmness of God's presence as we prayed and I know in my Spirit that the Lord will answer her pray in His timing and in His way according to His will.  He is an awesome God and He loves His children.

The Lord will provide all of our genuine needs.

Thank You for Your love.

Thank You for providing our needs.

We praise Your name.

We uplift all people who are facing troubles and hardships.
