If we are not careful we can miss what the Lord is doing in our lives and the lives of those all around us. The Lord wants us to put our focus on Him and trust Him with our daily lives. The Lord is still at work in our world today and He is still using people like you and I to bring glory and praise to His Holy name.
Sometimes we seem to forget what the Lord has done for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. He took the punishment that we so rightly deserved. He rose from the dead the third day to show us that He is indeed the Son of the Living God. He gives the Holy Spirit to dwell in everyone that has put their faith and trust in Him. He gives us eternal life. If we are trusting in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior then when our bodies die we will go to be with the Lord in Heaven to be with Him forever. We have bought with a great price. We have been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ.
There is only one name under Heaven in which people must be saved by and that is the name of Jesus Christ. It is Jesus that we are to follow and it is Him that we should worship. He is the Lord our God and there is no other God but Him.
Colossians 3:1-11 says,
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is your life, appears,
then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:
sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these:
anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
and you have put on the new self,
which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised,
barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all."
Sometimes our lives get busy and our minds can race with thoughts of many kinds. We must learn to put the Lord first in our hearts and or minds. We must be focused on Him. Sometimes this can be hard in times of trouble and we may not feel well. We must know that Christ is in us when we come to believe on Him for salvation and He is in all of those who believe on Him.
Let us continue to trust Him.
The journey is long and difficult at times, but the Lord is with us each step of the way.
We can trust Him.
Let us set our minds and hearts upon Jesus Christ.
Lord,
Help us to stay focused on You.
We uplift all of those who are in the hospital right now.
We uplift those who are going through hard times.
Lead us by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
