Pray to the Lord

There seems to be a lot of bad things happening in our world these days.  There was an earthquake in Italy, tornadoes in the mid-west United States, wildfires in the Western United States, the flooding in Louisiana, and many other things that have destrupted people's lives.  We need to lift up in prayer all of those people who have been affected by these tragic events.

We must remember that, even with all the bad things happening in our world today, there is One to whom we can turn too in prayer.  The Lord is always ready to hear from us for any reason. 

When you are feeling tired and weary and we all do at times we can turn to the Lord and He will give us the strength to go on.  We can trust Him for He is God.

Matthew 7:7-8 says,

"Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks,
the door will be opened."

When ever we hear about people being in the middle of a tragedy we should pray.

If we find ourselves in trouble of some sort we should pray.

If we find ourselves sick we should pray.

We can call out to our Lord with all kinds of prayers and He does hear our prayers.

The Lord will answer our prayers in accordance to His will.

Lord,

We pray for those people in those places that experienced tragic events in the past few days.

Thank You for You goodness and Your care.
