Our Help Comes From The Lord

There will be days when fear, anxiety, and worry will seem overwhelming.  We may feel like the things that are coming against us are just too much for us to take.  The devil tries to stir up fear in our hearts and lives so that we will be paying more attention to the things that scare us instead of putting our focus on the One that can handle any problem that comes our way.  That One that can handle anything that comes our war is of course our Lord Jesus Christ.  He loves us and He will take care of us.

Sometimes we allow fear to swallow up our faith it seems.  We can be really good at scaring ourselves, can't we?  Sometimes we start worrying about something so much that it just robs us of our joy.  We end up falling for the devil's lies instead of focusing on God's truth.

The truth of God is, that when we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, He will never leave us and never forsake us.  When we come to Christ He even gives us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.
He is our Helper.  We can trust Him.

I am reminded of Psalm 121:1-8

"I lift up my eyes to the hills-
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip-

He who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, He who watches over Israel

will neither slumber or sleep.

The Lord watches over you-
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm-

He will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore."

We must remember whenever trouble comes, and in this life it will, we have a helper.  Our God is a Big and Mighty God.  He is all Powerful.  We must life up our eyes to the Lord for He is our helper.  Our help comes from the Lord.  He is the One who created the heavens and the earth.  He is bigger than our fears and worries.  He is always right by our side ready to help us.  He is not like a genie.  He doesn't answer to us.  We are His servants and He is or God.  He wants to help us draw nearer to Him.

The Lord watches over us.  Sometimes we take our eyes off of the Lord.  We may slip and fall into sin.  We may be afraid of things going on in the world around us.  We may just have an irrational fear of something and just end up scaring ourselves and end up feeling foolish afterward.

Whatever is going on in your life just know that their is someone who cares.  There is someone bigger than any trial or trouble that you will face.  The Lord Jesus Christ will be their for us each step of the way because He loves us.  Jesus died on the cross for our sins and He rose from the dead.  He is at the right hand of the Father and one day He will come back.  He didn't leave us to fend for ourselves.  He gives us the Holy Spirit to all of those who trust in Him for salvation.

When you are facing a fear inducing trial just remember to call out to the Lord Jesus Christ and trust Him to help you.  He will take you through the dark and lonesome valley.  We can trust Him.  We can love Him and know He has our best interest in mind.

Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you.  There is no reason to fear for our helper is near.

Lord,

Sometimes we allow fear to overwhelm us and take our eyes off of you.

We are sorry.  Thank You for loving us and taking care of us.

Help us to love you more.

May Your will be done.
