There will be times when fear will try to overwhelm us. We must remember that our enemy, the devil, goes around like a roaring lion trying to see who he can devour. We must remember though that we who have trusted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have nothing to fear. The Lord is our protector. He is always there with us during life's most difficult moments. We may feel lonely and abandoned by the people in our lives, but we must remember that the Lord is always right by our side. He sticks by us closer than any relative can.
Even when we feel weary and have little strength we must remember that the Lord our God is Mighty and Powerful. He never needs rest. He never grows weary. He is an ever present help in our time of need.
Isaiah 40:28-31 says,
"Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
We must remember, that no matter what comes against us, the Lord will see us through it. We have nothing to fear. We can trust the Lord in all things. There will be times when things seem horrible and dark. Our minds might be filled with worry and fearful thoughts. We must always remember that we have absolute hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have nothing to fear when we have Jesus. The Lord Jesus died for our sins and on that great Day He will welcome us Home when we get to Heaven. He is our hope and our peace. We can find rest in Him.
Are you trusting Jesus to give you the strength you need?
Let us seek the Lord in prayer and read His Word.
Lord,
We praise Your name.
Strengthen us O Lord.
Lead us and direct our steps.
Forgive us forgetting who You are at times.
Forgive us for giving into fear.
You are our hope.
You are our strength and shield.
Come soon Lord.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
