Praying For Others

There is so much pain and suffering in our world today.  There are many people who have cancer and other illnesses.  There are many people dealing with the loss of loved ones.  Many people have suffered life changing accidents.

There are people all around us who are in need.  We may wonder what we can to for people.  We believers in Jesus Christ can do something very important for them.  We can pray.  Sometimes we tell people we will pray for them, but we fail to follow through.  When we tell someone we will pray for them we should do it.

If the situation permits we should pray for them right at that very moment.  This would also be a great witness for the Lord and it would also send a message to that person that we really do care about their life situation.

Sometimes we believers in Christ fail those all around us by allowing to think that we do not care.  Is that the message that we are sending out to the world?  I pray that it is not.  The question we must ask ourselves is, "Do I care enough to pray for this person?"

We are told in Scripture that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all of our heart, mind, body, and our entire being and we are also to love our neighbor as ourselves.  When we love the Lord we will show that love to others or at least we should.

There is a young woman that I know who had a biopsy done recently and she is waiting for the results to see if her cancer has come back or not.  She is only in her twenty's and she has a daughter.  She told me and another co-worker to "cross our fingers".  I old her that I would pray for her.  Her name is Stephanie.  I would ask that you too would pray for her as well.  I would like prayers for all of my co-worker's as well.

There are so many people in our world that need the Lord in their lives and they don't even realize it.  We must pray for them.  We also must pray for the Body of Christ to awake and be the servants the Lord wants us to be.

Let us love the Lord Jesus and Let us love others and show them how must we love our Lord.

Lord, Heavenly Father,

We humble come to Your throne of Grace.

There are so many people in need all around us and we feel overwhelmed.

We know that all things are possible with You.

Open the eyes of our hearts Lord and help us to see others as You see them.

We get so distracted sometimes and we are sorry.

Lord, we uplift Stephanie to You and we ask that the test results will be negative for cancer.

Touch her with Your healing touch and draw her to You Lord.

I uplift my co-workers and I pray that many will come to know You Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

I pray for the people of Houlton, Maine O Lord.

Open people's hearts to love You and love others.

I pray that love would spread throughout this Nation and throughout the World.

Come quickly Lord Jesus,

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen.
