Are You Ready For The Return Of Jesus?

Sometimes it is easy for us just to go about our day to day business and really not pay much attention to what is going on around us and in our world.  There is a lot of things that are changing in our world and most of it is not good.  The world is growing colder in a Spiritual sense.  There seems to be a lot of anger to go around.  There is a lot of division all around.  There is a sense of unkindness and just pain meanness.  There are a lot of people who are prideful and arrogant toward their denial of the Living God.

When we look are around our nation and our world we tend to wonder if the body of Christ has lost it's influence in the world.  Many people seen to blame the Church for not doing enough.  There may be a lot of factors in play to explain what is going on.  Jesus said that He would build His Church and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it.  The Lord is still at work in our world today.  There are many Spirit filled believers in Jesus Christ who are living for the Lord in accordance with His Word.

There is coming a day when the Lord Jesus Christ will return and we are getting closer to that day.  We are closer now than we have ever been before for His return.  We must be ready for that Day.  We can be ready by making sure that we have a relationship with the Lord and that is only available through Jesus Christ.

We all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.  That means we have all missed the mark with God.  God's standards are higher than our standards.  Not one of us is good enough to obtain those high standards on our own.  We can look at God's 10 Commandments as if we were looking into a mirror to find out that we can not make it on our own.  We have all broken the commandments in either thought or deed.  If we have ever stole something no matter what the value we would be considered a thief and if we have ever looked at a women to lust after her in our heart, Jesus says that we have committed adultery in our hearts.  So, on Judgment Day we would be found guilty by God and cast from His presence into a literal Hell because God is Holy and nothing unholy can remain in His presence.

That sounds kind of startling and scary.  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God if we are to stand on our own.

The good news is God made a way for us to come into His presence with our fear.  God showed us a better way by sending His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to live a perfect and sinless life.  Jesus went to the Cross and shed His blood for our sins.  Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sin debt.  We must confess our sinfulness to the Lord and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  When we put our faith in Jesus Christ we are saved.  We are saved and enter into a relationship with the Heavenly Father by trusting in the Grace of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross.  We can't save ourselves.  None of us is good enough.  We need a Savior.  We need to come to faith in Jesus Christ.  That also means there needs to be a change in our lives.  We must repent of our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus.  That doesn't mean we will never sin again because we will, but we must recognize our sinfulness and our helplessness to save ourselves.

The Body of Christ must wake up out of it's slumber and proclaim the truth of God's Word.  There needs to be a call of repentance and a turning to the Lord Jesus.  Jesus is the Only One who Saves.

One Day the Lord Jesus will return to Judge the world.  Are you ready for His return?

There is still time to receive the forgiveness that Jesus Christ offers.  I pray that you will trust in Him before it is too late.

Heavenly Father,

We humbly come to You in repentance of our sins.

Thank You for sending Jesus to die for our sins.

Thank You that who ever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

I pray that more people will come to know You Lord Jesus before it is too late.

I pray for the Body of Christ to awake from our sleep and be about Your business by spreading the Gospel.

Lead us by Your Holy Spirit that indwells each believer in Jesus Christ.

Come quickly Lord.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
