Troubles will come to each one of us at some point during our lives. We must remember that we who have put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation belong to Him. We are God's children and we are blessed. We are deeply and richly loved more than we can even comprehend.
We must remember all that God has done for us. We must remember that God demonstrated His great love for us by sending Jesus Christ to love a perfect and sinless life on this earth. Jesus went and died on the Cross for our sins. Jesus shed Hi blood for you and me and for the whole world. The Lord Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and one day Jesus will come back and establish His Kingdom on the earth in full completion. The Lord didn't leave us believers to go about our lives on our own, but He gives us the Holy Spirit to indwell each one of us who have placed our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross.
We may feel alone and lonely, but the believer in Christ is never truly alone because we have the precious Holy Spirit of God within us. That should be a great comfort to us. There maybe hard times ahead of us and there may be trials, but we can rest in the hope that we have in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many people do not have that hope. There maybe people all around us that need a loving touch from the Master's hand. People need the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives.
I know I still need Jesus every moment of everyday. I am weak, but He is strong. I am a wretched sinful man, but God loved me and forgives me through the precious blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We each have a race we must run for the Lord. We are called to persevere and continue marching onward to the prize before us. That prize is to be with our Lord Jesus forever in a wonderful place called Heaven.
I am reminded what the author of Hebrews says in Chapter 10 verses 32-39,
"32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering.
33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.
34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.
35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”
38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. "
We need to remind ourselves about when we came to know Christ as our Savior and we must continue to thank Him and praise Him for all that He has done for us and that He continually does for us.
We must not shrink back from knowing Him because He has been so good to us and He is always faithful to us. Let us persevere in our faith in Jesus Christ and continue running the course that He has laid out before us for His Glory, Honor, and Praise.
Lord,
Help us not to lose hope and focus.
Help us to persevere in our walk here on the earth .
We praise Your Holy Name.
We look forward to Your Coming Lord Jesus.
Come quickly O Lord.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
