Sometimes the things we see going on in the world around us can cause us great anxiety and worry. We see and hear about terrorism, wars, one country threatening another country, people hurting each other, and many other things can cause us to feel anxious and worried.
There are indeed many things in our world today and even in our own lives that can cause us to be paralyzed by fear. Sometimes we get so caught up being anxious and worried we forget about God and we lose focus.
Sometimes I allow worry and fear to cloud my view of my God. We all do sometimes and we all need a good reminder that God is still God even in the midst of whatever is making us feel anxious and worried.
The Lord promises us in Scripture that He will never leave us and He will never forsake us. The Lord will always be by or side even during those trying moment of life when we feel worried and filled with fear.
The Lord urges us to take courage and trust that He will be with us wherever we go. We believers in Jesus Christ have the Holy Spirit indwelling us so that we can know that God is with in us wherever we go. There is no where we can possibly go where the Lord won't be present.
The Lord is our God and He is the Creator of all things seen and unseen. He is faithful and trustworthy. The Lord is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. We have an Awesome loving God who will supply us with all of our needs and He blesses us abundantly above anything that we should ask for or think of. He does this because of His great love for us.
Worries, fears, and anxiety will always try to bully us around like the mean kid on the playground when we were children, but we belong to the Lord Jesus who will take up for us if we just trust Him. Jesus will help us in our time of need. We need to remember to call out to Him for help when we need it.
Let's come boldly to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to help us with those thing that cause us anxiety and worry. Let's ask the Lord to help our focus to be on Him and how great He is. Our God is greater. The Lord is Mighty and He is powerful.
Lord, Heavenly Father,
You are Holy and just in Your judgements.
We praise Your Name.
Sometimes we get anxious and worried about things.
Help us during those times to remember that You are in control and we can trust You.
We love You Lord and want to serve You with our whole hearts.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name we pray,
