Thanking The Lord For Who He Is And All That He Has Done

Sometimes it is all to easy to dwell on the bad things that happen in our lives and in the lives of those around us.  There is a lot of trouble going on in our world these days.  There is a lot of anxiety and fear as well.  There is so much going on that sometimes we forget to be thankful to God for who He is and all that He provides us with.

Sometimes we get so caught up with the bad things that are going on around us that we forget all that God has done for us and all that He continues to work out in our lives.  God is a good, loving, and caring Creator.  He is our Maker and He knows our name.  The Lord knows our every thought and every meditation of our heart.

We truly have nothing to fear and worry about because of who He is.  The Lord is faithful and He is trustworthy.  We need to learn that we can trust the Lord and that He is bigger than anything that we are facing today.  We need to seek first His Kingdom and trust Him to meet our every genuine need.

We should be thankful for the Lord's provision.  We should shout for joy to the Lord our God.  Yes, there will be times of troubles and there will be horrible life altering trials that we all must endure.
The Lord Jesus told us that in this world we will have troubles, but we must take heart and know that Jesus has overcome the world.

Sometimes it is difficult for us to trust Him because our trials are so very hard and the journey seems to be so very difficult, but we must remember that God is still God and He is ultimately in control.  The Lord truly does work out all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

When we realize how Awesome our God is and how Mighty He is our troubles will begin to shrink.  Our focus needs to be continually upon the Lord and we have help in doing that by reading God's Word and relying on the Holy Spirit for direction.

Psalm 100 (ESV) says,

1 ¹Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! 
                                                                                                        

2 ²Serve the LORD with gladness! ³Come into his presence with singing!

3 Know that ⁴the LORD, he is God! It is he who ⁵made us, and ⁶we are his;^a we are his ⁷people, and ⁸the sheep of his pasture.

4 ⁹Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his ¹⁰courts with praise! Give thanks to him; ¹¹bless his name!

5 ¹²For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his ¹³faithfulness to all generations.                            

When we think about all that the Lord has done for us in the past our hearts should be thankful and we should praise Him with shouts of joy.  Let us come to the Lord with thanksgiving and a greater love for the Lord our God.

The Lord loves us with a great everlasting love.  Even in the darkest moments of life the Lord is there for us and He will be right by our side through the most difficult road that we find ourselves on.  The Lord demonstrated His great love for us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect and sinless life.  Jesus went obediently to the Cross and died on the Cross for our sins.  Jesus took the punishment that you and I so rightly deserve.  Whoever receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be saved.  We must trust in His Grace by faith in His finished work on the Cross for our sins.

God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day to show us that He is indeed God.  One Day the Lord Jesus will come back and judge the world in His Righteousness.  Those who are trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be with Him in Heaven for all eternity and those who have rejected His gift of salvation through His shed blood will be eternally separated from God and placed into a literal hell.

I am thankful that the Lord Jesus Christ saved a wretched sinner such as I and I am thankful that I am saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and that my name is written in the Lambs Book of Life.

I have a Home in Heaven because Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for my sins.  I am saved by grace and I have nothing to boast about what so ever.  God is good. 

Let's be thankful and filled with joy for all that the Lord has done for us and the promises that await us because we are His children. 

Lord, Heavenly Father,

We praise Your Holy Name.

Thank You for all the joys that You bring into our lives.

Thank You for walking with us through lives dark lonely valleys.

We come to You O Lord with grateful hearts.

Thank You for the work that You are doing in our lives.

Thank You for being faithful.

Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
