I went to see Mark Lowry in concert last night at the Military Street Baptist Church and I must say I had a great time. Mark sang songs and told stories. I laughed. I cried. I laughed so hard that I thought I was going to bust a gut. It was a great time and most importantly there was a great message that God loves us and He is for us.
It was a great evening. I am thankful for the opportunity to see a wonderful Christ centered Gospel singer come all the way to Houlton, Maine. God can touch people's hearts through the Gospel message and through good old Gospel music as well. Gospel music is the best kind of music because it contains wonderful biblical truth.
The Lord is doing wonderful things in people's hearts and lives even in our day and age when everything seems to be getting darker and more intense. The Lord loves you with a deep everlasting love. His love runs so very deep that we seem to have a hard time to grasp it or even accept it sometimes.
God demonstrated His love toward each one of us on the entire planet by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to this world to live a perfect and sinless life. Jesus went and laid down His life on the Cross. Jesus bore the punishment for our sins that we so rightly deserve. We must repent of our sins and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
God raised Jesus to life on the third day to show us that He is indeed God. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. We are saved by His Grace and we must come to Him by faith. Those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will receive forgiveness of their sins and a eternal Home in Heaven.
The Lord doesn't want anyone to perish, but He wants everyone to come to Jesus Christ and find Grace. There are many who will reject God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and they will be eternal separated from God and placed in a literal hell. If you still have breath in your lungs it isn't too late to come to faith in Jesus Christ and make Him your Lord and Savior.
The Lord is our Maker. He is our Creator who wants to have a relationship with each one of us and He has made a way through Jesus Christ.
The Lord wants to use us and He will use us if we will allow Him to. We need to come to Him on His terms and trust Him to lead us by His Holy Spirit. God loves you and He will use you for His purpose. Are you willing to be used by God?
Lord, Heavenly Father,
We praise Your Name for You are Holy.
You are the Lord and there is no other.
Forgive us our sins of commission and our sins of omission.
Open people's hearts to the truth of Jesus Christ.
Use us for Your Glory and Your purpose.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
