There are times in life when things get extremely hard and challenging. We all face those moments of making very difficult life changing decisions. We also sometimes face those situations that seem to be thrust upon us unexpectedly. There will be times in our lives when we will feel backed into a corner or we may even feel as though we have been thrown into a pit with no hope of ever getting out.
Have you ever felt like that? I think at some point in our walk with the Lord we all do. Sometimes we may feel like there is a dark cloud hanging over us and it seems like the enemy is throwing everything in his arsenal at us. We wonder if we will escape in one piece.
There are times when life can seem like a roller coaster with all of its twists and turns and its ups and downs. We may even encounter a loop or two as well. Life is full of trouble and challenges. The good news is that there is hope for us and that hope is found in the person of Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He promises to walk us through life's most difficult moments if we just trust Him. It is difficult at times to follow the Lord, but we must do so by faith and trust in His grace.
The Lord will help us through the most difficult of circumstances. It may take a while. It may not be easy. There may be some pain and suffering involved and even loss, but the Lord will bring us through. Through it all we will gain a better understanding of who God is and we will also learn that He is truly trustworthy even though we don't fully understand what He is doing at times.
The Lord's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are greater than our thoughts. The Lord can see the entire picture of our lives while we only get to see a very small pixel worth at a time. The Lord God knows what He is doing and we can trust Him with our lives and the lives of those all around us.
Even when things don't seem fair we can learn from His Word that God is faithful and He does indeed work all things for our good. Sometimes the things that happen to us aren't good, but He can use those things to bring us closer to Him.
When life gets hard we must continue seeking the Lord Jesus and His kingdom. We must continue to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Him. Keep seeking Jesus in times of trouble even when you don't feel like going on.
We must take one step at a time with our focus on our Lord Jesus and have faith in Him. Eventually we will emerge from the pit that we find ourselves in. It may take a while. It may not be until the day the Lord Jesus takes us home to Heaven where, we who are trusting in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, will be with Him forever.
Lord, Heavenly Father,
We praise Your Name.
Thank You for Your love and mercy.
Help us out of the pit that we sometimes find ourselves in.
Help our focus to be on You Lord.
We set our focus on You Lord Jesus for You are the author and finisher of our faith.
Lead us and guide us by Your Word and Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name we pray,
