our circumstances may not be very good at the moment.
The Lord loves us so very much and we must never forget that. If we look closely at the creation
that He spoke into existence when can see His care for us.
I recently purchased a new camera and have been trying to find things to take pictures of. Today I
looked up and noticed how beautiful the clouds looked as the sun was shining on them and through
them. I have included some of the pictures that I took of the clouds in today's blog posting.
The scene in the sky reminded me of paintings that had been done by a famous artist. Actually this is
even greater than that by far. For our God is the original "Artist". He is the creator of all things seen
unseen.
How can someone look at the beauty of creation and say that there is no God blows my mind.
Actually at one time many years ago before I came to faith in Christ I thought that way, but the Lord
tracked me down after years of pursuing me. I started looking at creation differently after I accepted
Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Him. He is a great and awesome God. The beauty of His creation should drive us to know Him
better and to sing praises to His name.
I think Psalm 147 sums up some of my thoughts today.
Psalm 147
Praise the Lord.
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers the exiles of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
His understanding has no limit.
The Lord sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
make music to our God with the harp.
He covers the sky with clouds;
He supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills.
He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens
when they call.
His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor His delight in the legs of a man;
the Lord delights in those who fear Him,
who put their hope in His unfailing love.
Extol the Lord, O Jerusalem,
praise your God, O Zion,
for He strengthens the bars of your gates
and blesses your people within you.
He grants you peace to your borders
and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.
He sends His command to the earth;
His word runs swiftly.
He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.
He hurls down His hail like pebbles.
Who can withstand His icy blast?
He sends His word and melts them;
He stirs up His breezes, and the waters flow.
He has revealed His word to Jacob,
His laws and decrees to Israel.
He has done this for no other nation;
they do not know His laws.
Praise the Lord."
How great is our God! He is truly worthy of all of our praise. When life gets us down and
sometimes things do get tough. When those things happen let us look around us at God's creation
and remember what an awesome loving God we serve.
He has done so much for us. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, on a rescue mission to save
us from our sins and be eternally separated from God.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Anyone who believes in Him will be saved.
The Lord is an Amazing God.
Isn't He worthy of our praise?
Look up at the clouds in the sky and even the stars at night and realize that the heavens declare the
Glory of God.
Praise the Lord!
Lord,
We thank You for the beauty of Your creation.
Help us to take more time to appreciate it and care for it.
We praise You O Lord.
Lead us nearer to You.
Bless each of us with healing and strength and wisdom in the days ahead.
Help us to love others and You so greatly love us.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
