Sometimes life gets hectic and stressful.
There will be times in life when we find ourselves being over tired and weary.
We may even feel burdened by something going on in our lives.
We also may find ourselves angry and overwhelmed.
Life can be hard.
We rush from here to there trying to get things done.
We try to be pleasing to every as much as possible, but it just never seems to be good enough.
Then we start to feel frustrated and maybe even a little bit hopeless.
We may even find ourselves feeling that way after watching the news too much on the television or over the internet.
The world is increasing becoming a scary and dangerous place.
When we focus on the world and all the troubles we can start to get discouraged real fast.
It is easy to allow our feelings about things dictate how we respond.
Those of us who are believers in Jesus Christ need to take a step back and realize that this fallen world in which we live is not our home.
Jesus went to prepare a place for us and He will come back one day and take us Home to be with Him forever.
John 14:1-4 says,
"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God;
trust also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms;
if it were not so,
I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back
and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where
I am going."
Jesus is telling us that we should not let our hearts be troubled.
We should not give into fear and hopelessness like the rest of the world that has no hope.
We who are believers in Christ have hope in Jesus Christ.
We trust in God. We should be trusting in Jesus as well.
We need to trust in Jesus for forgiveness of sins and we need to trust Him daily as we walk with Him.
Jesus tells us that there is plenty of room in Heaven for everyone and He is preparing a place for us.
All of those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins will have a Home in Heaven .
Jesus also says one day He will come back and take us Home to Heaven to be with Him forever.
We will enter His rest at last.
What a great and awesome day that will be when we see our Jesus at last.
I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to that Day when I bow at the feet of Jesus Christ that One died for a wretched sinful man like me.
Come soon Lord Jesus. Come quickly.
Lord,
We come to You to find rest.
We are tired and weary.
Help us to be revived.
We wait for You O Lord.
Come Soon.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
