The world is a pretty crazy and dangerous place to live at times. We believers in Jesus Christ must continue to press on toward Him. The Lord tells us in His Word that we will have troubles in this world. Life is not easy for anyone of us. This is a fallen world that is getting more corrupt and wicked. It will continue to grow worse and darker until Christ comes which could be very soon.
We believers in Christ must not lose heart and we must guard ourselves against becoming negative and hopeless. There is hope. We have hope in Jesus Christ. Jesus promises that if we have trusted Him as our Lord and Savior that He will never leave us and He will never forsake us.
The Lord will walk with us through life's deepest and darkest valleys. Even when all of our family and friends have forsaken us the Lord never will if we are trusting in Him. He urges us to trust Him because He loves us so greatly and perfectly.
One day the Lord will call us, who have trusted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Home to Heaven where we will be with Him for all eternity. There He will wipe away every tear from our eyes. There will be no more sickness there. There will be no more dying. There will be no more hate. There will be no more pain. There we will experience the sweet embrace of the Lord's presence in the most powerful and beautiful way than we could every possibly fathom here on the earth.
Revelation 21:1-4
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
We must remember that we have crossed over from death into a new life when we trusted Christ as our Lord and Savior. Things can seem bleak and dark in this world, but we must remember that we don't belong to this world. We belong to the Lord Jesus if we have put our faith and trust in Him.
Things will get worse I am afraid. We may face hard times and we may even face persecution for believing in Jesus Christ. We must remember that our Home is in Heaven. This life is not all there is. There is more ahead of us when we have Christ as Lord of our lives. The believer's best day's are ahead in Heaven.
Shouldn't that encourage us to tell others the good news of Jesus Christ so they to can go to Heaven and be with Him forever.
We need to have our hope placed in the Lord. We can trust Him with our lives. We can trust Him with our salvation and we can trust Him with eternal life in Heaven when we come to know Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives.
Lord, Heavenly Father,
Thank You that we have hope in who You are.
Thank You for loving us.
Thank You for making a way for us to have a Home in Heaven and forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit into all truth.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
