There are many people in our world who feel empty inside. They feel like there is something missing or lacking in their lives. Many will seek a great job and hope to gain wealth and prosperity only to find they still have an empty void in their hearts.
Some turn to drugs or alcohol to fill the void they feel within themselves. There are some who turn to other forms of immoral behavior, but they still can't seem to fill that inner need they sense.
There is only One that can fill the void that we feel in our hearts and our lives. There is only One that can calm that longing deep within us and that is God Himself.
We all fall short of His Glory. We have all sinned and have missed the mark. The Lord sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for our sins.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9)
Only the Lord can fill the longing in our hearts and lives. Only having a proper relationship with God through Jesus Christ can reconcile us back to God.
We need to learn to turn to the Lord and keep seeking Him. We all struggle with something in our lives. There is none of us that is perfect even after we come to know Christ as Savior.
We must submit to the Holy Spirit's promptings and allow Him to direst our steps. We must continue to read and study God's Word.
May we seek the Lord to fill the void in our hearts by clinging to the Lord Jesus Christ each and every moment.
Lord,
Sometimes we get distracted and take our eyes off of You.
We are sorry and we confess our sins to You.
Forgive us our sins of commission and sins of omission.
Fill the void in our lives by the Holy Spirit.
