Allowing The Lord To Use Us To Spread His Hope

Sometimes the world can seem like a very lonely and dark place.  There seems to be a lot of anger and strife.  There is much tension and sin that seems to run rampant.  There also seems to be an air of complacency.  Sometimes it feels like people think there is no hope for them or for the people all around them. 

Sometimes we believers in Jesus Christ act so negatively that it would seem that we have forgotten to whom we belong.  We also seem to forget that there is hope in the Lord and that all things are possible with God.  

When things seem dismal and not going our way we shouldn't fret about it or complain we should instead pray about it and find a way to change things in a way that brings glory to the Lord our Awesome God. 

The Lord wants to hear from His children and we are His children if we have received His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior.

We do indeed live in troubling times.  The days are dark and kind of bleak, but the Lord is still working in this broken world.  He is still working in our lives as well.  We need to allow Him to shine His light through us into this dark world that so badly needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope that He only can bring.

Let us show the world that we have hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in a such a way that they would like to come to know Him.  God is good and He is always good.  The Lord is moving in our world today and He wants to use us to reach others.

The question remains, "Are we allowing the Lord to use us?"

We have a choice to go around and complain about what other people aren't doing or should be doing or we can be like the prophet Isaiah who said to the Lord,  "Here am I, send me!"(Isaiah 6)

 Lord,  Heavenly Father,

We are sorry that we don't seem very hopeful at times to those around us.

We praise Your name for You alone are Holy and worthy of our worship.

Thank You for Your mercy and grace.

Draw us near to You O Lord.

Lead us and guide our steps.

In Jesus name we pray,
