There will be times when it seems that world is against us. The truth is if you are a believer in Jesus Christ and are living your life for Him then yes the world is against you. I am saying that to create some kind of paranoia or anything.
The world system totally opposes God's purpose and His followers. The world system doesn't want anything to do with God and His ways. Jesus told His disciples of this in John 15:18-21 which says,
"18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.
21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me."
If people are coming against us for our faith in Christ we should not be surprised as if something strange was going on. We are to be His light in this world of darkness. The darkness can not comprehend the light. When the light and truth shine the darkness gets mad and really nasty.
When we are truly living our lives for Christ persecution of some kind will eventually come to us and sometimes from very surprising places. We as believers in Jesus Christ must stand firm upon Christ the Solid Rock. We believers in Christ must cling to His Word and proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ by the way we live and how we speak.
This world is not our home. Our Home is in Heaven because of what Jesus paid our way their by shedding His blood on the Cross for our sins. We are saved by Grace by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. God wants everyone to come to repentance and trust Christ as Savior. Salvation is available to all who believe in His name and His finished work on the Cross.
Sadly many people won't accept Him because of their pride and arrogance. Please, don't let your pride and anger get in the way of knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. We must humble ourselves and come boldly to the throne of Grace, confessing our sins to Him, and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
There is only One way to Heaven and that is only through Jesus Christ. We must continue to proclaim this message of hope to those in our communities and we must also remember to do this with the love of Christ.
We must remember to whom we belong. We belong to Jesus Christ if we have put our faith and trust in Him. He will lead us through life's most difficult moments. Jesus never changes. He is the same yesterday, tomorrow, and forevermore.
When things don't go our way we must remember that there just might be a reason for that. God may be protecting us from something. The Lord may also have something better in store for us in future. We may not understand what is going on at the moment, but we can always count on our God to see us through.
The Lord has never failed us and you know, He won't start now. He is a good God. He will not abandon us to live life on our own. There is a greater day coming when all is said and done. That great day will be when all believers in Christ will be at the feet of Jesus in Heaven thanking Him for His Amazing Grace.
Let us be thankful for all the Lord has done for us and all that He is doing in our lives and in the lives of all believers in Christ. God is up to something good. The Holy Spirit is stirring up a Great Awakening. Let us be awake ourselves and trust in the Lord and love each other.
Lord,
We love You and thank You for loving us even when we seem so unlovable.
We pray for our leaders and our fellow believers in Christ.
We pray for the people in all nations around the world.
We pray for a Great Awakening to spread through this world.
Lord, awaken Your Church and empower us by Your Holy Spirit to shine as lights in the darkness.
Draw people to the Lord Jesus through us.
Lead us and guide us.
May Your will be done.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
