Finding Common Ground

The Presidential election has come and gone here in the Unites States of America.  The People have spoken and have elected a new President.  I would like to ask for prayers for him and for our leaders and for the entire nation.

It is always a good thing to pray for our leaders and our countries.  We must be in prayer for all of those in leadership roles even those we may not agree with.  God can still work in them and through them.  Nothing is impossible with God.

We must pray for all believers in Jesus Christ to  humble ourselves and continue to seek the Lord with all kinds of prayers and request.  We must remember that there are many people in this world that need to know about Jesus Christ.  There needs to be a revival among believers and a Spiritual Awakening among the people that are all around us.

We people have something in common.  We were all born into this world with a sin nature and as a result we were born separated from God.  We come into this world spiritually dead.  The only way to be reconciled back to God is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

There is common ground at the foot of the Cross of Jesus Christ.  We must come to realize that we are sinners and have fallen short of God's high standards.   We need a Savior to save us.  There is only One that has died for our sins and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect sinless life.  He went obediently to the Cross and shed His blood there for you and I and for the whole world.   There is only One way to the Father and that is through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is our hope.  He is the hope that the world needs.  The message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be proclaimed to all people.  We must pray for Ministers, Missionaries, and all of our Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world to stand firm upon the truth of God's Holy Word and the Lord Jesus Christ.  We must proclaim the truth of who He is.

Lord,
Thank You for Your love.
Thank You for forgiveness of our sins through Jesus sacrifice on the Cross.
We pray for our leaders.
Empower us by Your Spirit to stand for the truth of who You are.
Even so, Come quickly Lord Jesus, Come.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
