Love Not Anger

There does seem to be a lot of anger and discontent in our world these days.  Some people get angry when things don't go their own way.  Some get upset that other people don't like their lifestyle or they are told what they do is wrong.  There are sometimes good reasons to get upset and angry.  We always have a choice whether to angry or not.  There is always a price to pay for our anger.   We might pay with our health,  we may pay by losing the respect of others if we have a temper tantrum in public,  or we pay the price in some other hurtful way. 

We need to be very careful when it comes to anger.  It can be very damaging if it gets out of control.
What our world needs is more love.  We know that God is love.   The only way to know what true love means is to look at God. 

God demonstrated His great love for all of us by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect sinless life on the earth.  Jesus went obediently to the Cross where He shed His blood and died for our sins.   He bore the sins of the whole world upon Himself.  Who ever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  We must come to Jesus and trust Him as our Lord and Savior by faith.

The Lord Jesus didn't stay on the Cross or in the tomb.   God raised Jesus up from the dead on the third day to show that He is indeed God.  The Lord Jesus is at the right hand of the Father in Heaven and one day very soon He will return as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord.   What a great and awesome Day that will be.  I am looking forward to that Great and Glorious Day when Jesus will return. 

The Lord didn't leave us here on the earth on our own however.  He gives each one of us who believes in Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit who indwells we who believe in Him.  The Holy Spirit continues to work in our lives to make us more like Jesus and that work won't be completed until we are taken to Heaven when we pass from this earth. 

I am thankful for the love that Lord shows each one of us through Jesus Christ.  Jesus loves you.

There is a lot of anger in the world as You know.
I pray that people would learn to forgive each other and love one another as You love us.
Help us to love each other.
Help us who believe in You to be lights that shine in the darkness.
May You receive all Glory and Praise from anything that we do in Your name.
