The world seems to be getting crazier ever moment. People's anger seems to be increasingly irrational. There is a sense of hostility in the air. People just don't seem happy. We wonder to our selves, "what is going on?"
There is a lack of love for God and for one another as fellow human beings. There is no respect. There doesn't seem to be much kindness either. People need the Lord. The problem is sometimes the ones that say they love the Lord are acting as the world acts. That is not a good witness for the Lord to others.
Shouldn't we who are believers in Jesus Christ act differently in a good God pleasing way. Shouldn't we have a deeper love for the Lord and His Word. Shouldn't we believers love those outside the Church in hopes of drawing them to Christ Jesus. I say yes we should, but sometimes we get caught up in worldly issues and we forget to whom we belong. We tend to forget the mission of the Church. We forget that we have been given marching orders from Jesus Himself to,"Go into the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit."
The Lord wants we who have put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ to take the Gospel message to those in our communities throughout our world. How is anyone going to hear the Gospel if we don't tell them? Sadly, many believers in Christ think it is the job of Pastors and Missionaries to spread the Gospel. It is not just for those people, but it is the responsibility of all believers in Jesus Christ to spread the Gospel in some way.
There are a lot of hurting people in our world today. They are all around us. They maybe our co-workers, our neighbors, our family, or our friends. There could be people in our local church or people in our communities. There are many people that need to know that there is indeed hope. They need to know that there is a true living God and that He loves them and He wants to have a personal relationships with them. That relationship is only available through Jesus Christ.
There is only one way to God the Father and that is through Jesus Christ the Son. God demonstrated His love for us by sending us His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to live a perfect sinless life. Jesus went obediently to the Cross, shedding His blood for our sins. God then raised Jesus from the dead to show that He is indeed God. Jesus is now at the Father's right hand in Heaven and one day Jesus will return. The Lord didn't leave us as orphans for He gives everyone who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer in Christ Jesus.
We have all sinned against a Holy and Just God and we all need forgiveness. God offers us that forgiveness. We must admit that we have sinned against Him and that we need His forgiveness. The good news is there is forgiveness. When we confess our sins to the Lord and trust in what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross. Jesus died for our sins, past, present and future. We must come to Jesus Christ in faith, trusting in His finished work on the Cross to be saved. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is what people need today. They need a relationship with Him. We who are trusting in Him need to love Him and love others. We need to read His Word and be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer of it. Let us live our lives for Jesus Christ. Let us not be angry jerks and look down on others. Let us love each other as Jesus so loved us. Let us live out the Gospel message so that others will want to know the Lord.
The truth of God's Word will prevail. The Word of God when it is proclaimed will never return void. We must proclaim the truth and hope of God's Word to those all around us no matter what the cost is to us. We as believers in Christ Jesus must be willing to stand upon the truth and hope that we have in Jesus Christ.
We believers in Jesus Christ need to take courage in these days. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us and to work through us in such a way that God gets all the Glory. We need to stand for the truth of who Jesus Christ is.
Lord,
Thank You for sending Jesus on a rescue mission to save us from our sins.
I pray that more people will hear the Gospel message and receive forgiveness through Jesus.
Help us to live for You O Lord.
Lead us and guide us.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
