Where Is Our Trust?

There have been times when someone has let us down or betrayed us causing us not to trust them.  Maybe things are so bad that you may find it hard to trust anybody.  In the world that we live in that is a possibility.  Let's face it sometimes people hurt us.  Sometimes they don't mean it and sometimes they do and we get hurt.  If we are honest there have been times when we have been the one doing the hurting and breaking trust.  We are imperfect people surrounded by imperfect people.

Thankfully there is forgiveness through Jesus Christ and there is hope in Him.  We can trust the Lord because He never changes and He allows does things that are for our best.  He always has our best interest in mind.

I am reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6 which says,

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart
and lean not unto your own understanding,
but in all your ways acknowledge Him
and He shall direct your paths."

Sometimes we try to figure things our in our own minds rather that trust the Lord.  Our knowledge and understanding is very limited.  God knows the ins and outs of every situation that you and I face day to day.  The Lord knows what lies ahead and just around the next corner.  We don't even know what the next few moments of our lives may bring.

I don't know what tomorrow may bring, but I have learned that I can trust the Lord with all of my tomorrows and I can trust Him with eternity for I have trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Jesus died on the Cross shedding His blood for my sins so that I can have forgiveness of my sins and an eternal Home in Heaven.

What a Savior! What an Awesome God!

We can trust Him.

Are you trusting the Lord?

Lord,
Thank You for loving us.
Thank You that You are trustworthy.
We ask that You lead us and guide us according to Your will.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
