When difficult times arise in our lives we need to remind ourselves that the Lord Jesus is always by our side through it all. There is no trial or difficult time that we encounter where we have to deal with it on our own. The Lord is always with us and He will never forsake us. He is always right there beside us waiting for us to reach out to Him. God forgives us of our sins when we put our faith and trust in what Jesus did for us on the Cross. Jesus died for our sins and when we come to Him and believe on Him we are forgiven. We are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We are saved by His grace. There will be times when we fail Him and give into sin. He is right there beside us waiting and ready to forgive. When we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and He will cleanse us of all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).
We should be thankful to God for sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us sinners. I am thankful that the Lord Jesus came to save a wretched man as me. I can't save myself and I can't even keep myself saved. I am not good enough to save myself and you are not good enough to save yourself either. We need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We must come to Jesus and receive Him as our Lord and Savior.
I am thankful to the Lord that He has aloud me to live in the United States of America. I am thankful for my mother and my brother and my brother's family. I thank God for them. I am thankful for my church family at the First Baptist Church in Houlton. I am thankful for all the Lord had done and is still doing in my life.
I thankful for all the people that have been praying for my mother. I would ask that you would continue to pray for her.
Earlier this year my mother was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Non Hodgkin's lymphoma low grade. She had treatments at the Cancer Care Center of Maine which is located in Brewer, Maine. It really is a great place to receive care if you are facing cancer. Well a few weeks ago my mother had a PET scan to see if the treatments did the job and prayer of course.
Today we saw the doctor to find out the results of those tests.
I am glad to say that the test showed no sign of the cancer. PRAISE THE LORD!
I thankful to the Lord for healing my mother of this. She will have to go back in 6 months for a scan just to see if everything remains clear. We are all very thankful to the Lord.
Sometimes the Lord does answer our prayers the way we want them to turn out. There are times when the Lord allows us to go through things that we may have a greater appreciation of who He is.
I am thankful that one day Jesus will return and take we who are trusting in Him Home to be with Him forever. There in His presence in Heaven there will be no more pain, no more death, no more horrible cancer, no more disease of any kind, there will be no more hate, no more violence, no more presidential elections (you thought about that one too), no more tears, and no more tears. Jesus will wipe away every tear from our eyes as He welcomes us into His eternal Kingdom.
What a great Day that will be indeed.
Let us give thanks to the Lord for all He has done and is continuing to do.
Lord,
We thank You for Your mercies that are new ever morning.
We thank You for being the true Living God and You invite all to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I pray more people will come to know Jesus Christ by receiving Him and what He did for them on the Cross.
Thank You for Your healing touch on my mother.
We uplift all of those facing cancer.
Help us Lord keep our focus on You.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
