We know that some people are in too much of a hurry to slow down and pay attention to the warning signs that construction is going on ahead of them and they just may fly right through the work zone putting the work crew and themselves in danger. One would think that with all the signs warning them to slow down and all the lights flashing to warn them to use caution that they would pay attention.
Unfortunately sometimes people fail to pay attention to warnings no matter how often you tell them and warn them. I remember reading about a well known Pastor who went for a ride with a construction site supervisor on a new section of freeway in California. The section of highway was closed off to traffic. There were barricades, several signs, and many flashing lights to warn people not to enter that section of highway. The supervisor drove his pickup on this closed highway and took the Pastor to show him something important. The Pastor recalled seeing all kinds of signs warning that the bridge was out because it was still being built. There were many signs and the signs increased and the flashing yellow lights shined brightly warning people that the road was closed and that there was no bridge ahead.
The Pastor said that his friend stopped his pickup at the end of the road where the bridge was still under construction and they both got out. The friend of the Pastor took him to the edge of the road and they looked down probably a good fifty feet or so where there were construction equipment and the bridge that was being built. The friend pointed to a couple of white crosses down there as well.
The Pastor asked what they were doing there and his friend told him that a few days ago a motorcycle got on the closed highway. There were two people on it and they ignored the signs, the flashing lights, and everything that warned them that the bridge was out and the road was closed. They ended up driving off the edge of where the bridge should have been and they died when they sped off the road at highway speed down into the construction sight below.
They ignored the signs and it cost them there very lives. There are many signs that people seem to ignore. Sometimes people ignore signs that there is something wrong with their health or some other thing. People also ignore the fact that there will be a day in which we will die and have to stand before God and give an account of our lives. There is coming a day when Jesus Christ will come back to this earth. The signs of the times are appearing everywhere we look. Many people are ignoring the signs and not being watchful for His return.
We are to be ready to see Jesus for He could come at anytime without warning. Luke 12:35-40 says,
35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning,
36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.
37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.
38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.
39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.
40 You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
The Lord Jesus warns us that we need to be ready for His coming. There is a sense of urgency in the air and we would be foolish to ignore it. The signs are flashing all around and the warning is sounding throughout our world. The Lord Jesus is coming very soon I believe. Are you ready to stand before the Lord?
Have you received the gift of forgiveness of your sins that Jesus Christ offers each one of us?
There is still time to come to Him as long as you have breath in your lungs. Time is running out.
The message is clear from God's Word we are all appointed a time in which we will die and we will stand before the Lord to give account of our lives on earth. We will be judged on what we did with Jesus.
We have all sinned and have fallen short of God's glory. We are all deserving of being cast out of God's Holy presence and sent to a literal Hell.
God made a way for us to be reconciled back to Himself. He demonstrated His great love for human kind by sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to live a perfect sinless life. Jesus went obediently to the Cross on which He died for my sins and yours and the whole worlds.
Jesus shed His blood for your sins. Jesus died for you because of His love for you. He took the punishment for you and me so we can stand in His presence on that Judgment day and not be afraid.
Jesus rose from the dead on the third day to show us that He is indeed God. He is know at the right hand of the Father preparing a place for us and one day He will return to take us home to be with Him forever.
He sends the Holy Spirit to indwell all who believe and trust in Him for salvation. We must receive that salvation by trusting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I can't do it for you. Each one of us needs to decide right now whether we will accept what Jesus did for us or reject what He did for us. If we reject Jesus then in the end He will reject us for all eternity.
I don't want to see any family member or anyone I know and even those I don't know to go to Hell for all eternity, but it is their choice. I pray that you will hear the warning signs because the end of the road is indeed coming for each of us. Are you trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
I hope you are. If you haven't decided yet I would urge you not to waste anymore time because you may not have tomorrow. I remember trying to convince someone that the needed Jesus, but they refused and said they wanted to believe in Him, but they just couldn't.
I keep praying that he will come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior before it is too late. Maybe you are on the fence sort if speak and you are unsure. Well I will tell you that being on the fence is the same thing as rejecting Jesus payment for your salvation. Jesus paid the ultimate price for your sins by the shedding of His blood. Jesus paid your way into Heaven. Would you be that foolish and prideful to reject such a great gift that God gives to us through Jesus?
Come to the Lord Jesus before it is too late my friend. He is your only hope for eternal life and forgiveness of your sins. The world is becoming an increasingly hostile place and it is becoming very dark. Satan is running around trying to devour our families and our friends. Satan knows that his time is short.
Resist the devil. Submit to the Lord our God. Come to the Father through Jesus Christ, the Son.
There is only One name under Heaven that people must be saved by and that is the name of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is coming at an hour that we don't expect and we must not be complacent. We must not be caught off guard. We have been warned with all the signs and His Holy Word. We will have no excuse for denying Him. Please don't reject this gift of salvation. Warn others and make sure they too are ready for the return of Jesus Christ.

We are being watchful for Your return.
We pray that people will receive forgiveness of their sins by trusting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
