Refocusing On Jesus

I have always enjoyed taking photographs with a camera.  Last year I purchased my first DSLR camera and I am really enjoying.  For the past few weeks I have been taking a digital photography course at the local Higher Education Center in town.  The class is very good and it is opening my eyes on how to take better pictures.  I am also realizing how much my camera can do.

I really like taking pictures of God's creation all around us.  When we really pay attention to all the things He has made we can get a better appreciation of how great our God truly is.  He really is awesome.  Whether we see the wonderful glow of the full moon,  the stars shining brightly in the night sky, a beautiful sunset, or a snow covered mountain peak we can see the wonderful handiwork of God our Creator.

One of the most important things in taking a good photo is that you need to make sure that whatever you are taking a picture of is in focus.  If your subject is out of focus then your picture just won't turn out right.

Our lives are like that.  If we don't have our focus on God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ then our lives will be out of focus.  When we aren't focused properly upon Jesus then our witness won't be very good at all.  We all struggle and sometimes we fail at various things in life, but we need to make sure that we are right with God.

We have all sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God.  We are all deserving of eternal separation from God in a literal Hell,  but God out of His great love for us made a way for us to be reconciled back to Him through Jesus Christ.  God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to this earth to die on a Cross for our sins.  It is by Christ shed blood on the Cross that we obtain forgiveness of our sins.  We must repent of our sins and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day and He is now at the right hand of the Father.  One Day Jesus will return to this earn and establish His Kingdom in full completion.

Let us rejoice in the Lord Jesus as we approach Easter and may we refocus our lives upon Him.

Lord,

Forgive us for getting out of focus.

Help us to refocus on You O Lord.

Lead us and guide our steps.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
