They were with Jesus for a little more than three years. They saw the miracles. They saw the blind receive sight. They heard the mute speak. They saw the crippled walk. They saw water turn into wine. They saw Jesus walking on the stormy sea and they saw Him quiet a storm with the words, "Peace, Be Still!"
Right now in this moment on the day after seeing their Master hung on a tree and die peace was the farthest thing from their minds. They were confused, sad, and scared. They felt so very alone. Did they not understand what Jesus taught them? Where they wrong thinking He was the Messiah?
Doubts seemed to knock at their hearts. They felt lost and in shock. Every thing had been going great for the past 3 plus years and now it was all over or at least it seemed that way. It is funny how we perceive things at times. The moments that we live can seem so utterly hopeless sometimes, but then something miraculous happens.
We must never forget that all things are possible with God. God can turn any situation that seems so horribly helpless into something so amazingly awesome that we will be talking about what God did for years to come.
The disciple's moment of despair would soon turn into the greatest event ever in the history of the entire world. This event would change the world forever. I am talking about what would happen a day later. That wonderful day when some women went to the tomb and found it completely empty.
Christ Arose!
Praise the Lord!
