When We Are Under Attack

There will be times when we will run into people who do not like us for one reason or another.  There will be times people will hate us because we are followers of Jesus Christ.  Sometimes we get mocked and made fun of.  There are even times we even may be bullied.  It is very tempting for us to lash out at the person and retaliate, but we must remain calm and pray for them.

We must not take the bait.  These people are lost and serving Satan himself whether they know it or not.  We believers in Jesus Christ must submit to the Lord and resist the devil so he will flee from us.  We must stand upon the Word of God and be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We must not cast our pearls to swine or we will be trampled upon and torn to pieces.  The battle is not ours.  The battle belongs to the Lord.  We don't like getting called names and being mocked, but there are many Christians around out world that are going through much worse things for the Lord.

There is a young man whom I work with that mocks me because I belong to Jesus.  Every chance he gets he mocks Jesus and Church.  This man has brought up Jesus more often then I have which gets me wondering if he is totally against the Lord or he is actually searching, but going about it the wrong way.

This young man seems very angry though and his mocking seems to be increasing.  I told my supervisor, but he said there was nothing he could do about it which makes me feel a little helpless, but I know the Lord will work things out.

I have been praying for thing young man and I would like everyone who reads this blog posting to pray for him as well.  Pray for me as well to endure and not allow a fleshly response to emerge.


Lord,
Thank You for always being by our side.
Thank You that You are willing to help us when others don't
I thank You Lord for Your protecting.
Help me through this trial.
Help me to know the correct response.
I pray for that young man who is bulling me.
I pray for Your help O Lord.
