Jesus Can Set Us Free

Sometimes life has it's challenges.  We believers in Jesus Christ will encounter troubles in this world.  We aren't promised an easy life.  The Lord does promised us that He will always be with us and He will never leave us.  People won't always like us nor our point of view.  There will be people we encounter that will actually hate us not because of anything we have done, but because we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.

When we repent of our sins and trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior our enemy, the devil, will try to trip us up and try to discourage us.  The devil will try to make us become ineffective for the Lord's work.  Our enemy is a defeated enemy.  Jesus Christ gives us victory over the devil and his ways.

Sometimes life can be rather discouraging especially when the enemy's attacks keep coming at us.  We may feel like giving up.  We may even wonder if what we are doing is really worth while.  I find that the enemy generally only attacks when he feels threatened.

Our battle isn't with people even though it seems like it at times.  Our battle is with the forces of evil lead by the devil himself.  We must pray and call out to the Lord to help us to stand firm against the attacks that come our way.  We need to put on the full armor of God and be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

There are people all around us that have been entangled with sin for so long that they see no way out.  They may want to be set free, but they don't know where to turn.  They need to turn to the One who came to set the captives free.  The need the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the only One that can break the chains of addiction.  Jesus is the only One who can break the sinful bondage in our lives.  Jesus can set us free from all of that.

We must come to Him with a humble heart and we must approach Him with a willingness to repent of our sins.  Jesus wants to set us free.   Is there something in your life that you need to be set free from?  Turn to Jesus Christ in prayer and seek His help.  He will answer your cry and He will set you free.

Lord,
Set us free from any addiction in our lives.
We love You O Lord.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
