Sometimes it is easy to get angry and upset with all of the wickedness and evil going on in our world these days. It is heart wrenching to see people arguing back and forth with no real results taking place. Everything seems to be in chaos. It would be one thing if were just government officials getting mad at each other, but society as a whole has seemed to have gone of the rails sort of speak. There is a lot of troubling things going on in our world and it is easy to get discouraged and even afraid of what will happen next.
We all want to fix things, but we really have no idea how to go about it. It is almost like we have a hard time talking to each other without being offended or offending someone. People seem to be doing what is right in their own eyes and pride seems to have over taken a majority of people in one way or another. Pride is in all of us unfortunately whether we like to admit to it or not.
The Lord calls us to humble ourselves for when we do He will lift us up. When we fail to humble ourselves the Lord will step in and humble us in His way and that may not be very comfortable for us to endure. It is always best to pay attention to our attitudes and make sure they are in line with God's Holy Word and His principles.
God knows our hearts and He knows our deepest longings of our hearts. He knows how far we have strayed from Him. We know that He is always ready to forgive us through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. When our hearts grow prideful and we get lukewarm in our faith He is always waiting for us to come to Him. The Lord Jesus stands at the very door of our hearts and He is knocking hoping that we will open the door and fellowship with Him.
There is nothing better and sweeter than fellowshipping with the Lord Jesus Christ, the One who died for us, the One who Created us and everything. The Lord calls us to Be still in His presence. When was the last time you stopped rushing here and there and just got still in the presence of Almighty God? There is nothing like it. We can just close our eyes and raise our hands in praise and just be still.
The Lord will show up in a special way through the power of the Holy Spirit. God loves you always remember that. If you have strayed away from Him just know He is not mad at you. He is waiting for you with opened arms. If you feel that you have done something wrong just confess it to Him. He already knows what you did and He is willing and able to forgive you through Jesus sacrifice on the Cross.
Lord,
We come humbly before Your throne of grace.
We are Your unworthy servants.
Help us to be still in Your presence.
Help us to sense Your presence as we have never before.
O Lord we need a fresh dew of the Spirit to wash over us in these days.
Thank You Lord Jesus.
We praise Your Mighty Name.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.
