Thankful for God's Patience

There seems to be a lot of wicked and evil things happening in this world these days.  Those who do bad things seem to get away with it and they may even seem to prosper in what they are doing.  We must remember that God will judge those evil doers.  The Lord will have the final say.  Nothing escapes the Lord's notice.

We may wonder why the Lord doesn't take care of those who do evil and wicked things right now.  The reason is that the Lord is patient.  II Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think.  No, He is being patient for your sake.  He doesn't want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent."

Thanks be to the Lord for His patience.  I am immeasurably thankful that the Lord is so patient because if He wasn't none of us would make it through to the next second.  What an Awesome God we serve.  Praise the Lord!  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your patience and mercy.

It is not the Lord's desire for anyone to perish and go to hell for all eternity.  The Lord desires that everyone come to repentance of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Unfortunately some people will refuse to repent of their sins and they will refuse to come to the Lord Jesus for salvation and they will be sent to hell because they were still dead in their sins.

Jesus paid the price for our sins, but we must repent of our sins and receive Him as our Lord and Savior in order to be saved.  We can't save ourselves.  There are no amount of good works or good deeds that we can do to make us right with the true living God.  Thankfully God made a way for us when there was no way to be seem.  God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth on  a rescue mission save us from our sins and the penalty of our sins.

Jesus paid the price for our sins by shedding His blood on the Cross in our place.  Jesus took the punishment that you and I so rightly deserve.  There is still hope for our world today through Jesus Christ.  People need to hear about Jesus and that He is still willing and able to save them because of what He did on the Cross.

The Lord Jesus will come again One Day and judge the world in His righteousness.  He will punish those who refuse to repent of their sins and turn to Him for salvation.  We believers in Christ Jesus, however, have a wonderful hope in the Lord Jesus.

The Lord not only forgives us believers of our sins, but He also give us an eternal Home in Heaven where we will dwell with Him for ever and ever.  I can't wait for that wonderful day when we go to see Jesus and see Him as He is.

Come Soon Lord Jesus!

Lord,
Thank You for being so patient with me and all of us.
I praise Your Holy Name.
Fan the flame within us.
We surrender all to You O Lord.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.
