It's About The Cross

This is a very busy time of the year as I am sure I have mentioned before and I am confident that I don't even have to remind you of that fact because you all ready know that it is very true.  There are so many things that reach out to us trying to get our attention.  There are family gatherings to prepare for,  there are gifts to buy and wrap, there are Church services to attend, and there are so many other things that we could add to our list of things that we need to get done before Christmas comes.

We get so busy this time of the year that we forget all about Jesus Christ whom we are supposed to be focusing on in the first place.  We must remember and greatly proclaim the truth of who Jesus Christ is and all that He have accomplished in our behalf.  It is easy to get distracted by all of the things that are going on all around us.  It is so easy just to get so busy getting things ready that we fail to get our hearts ready and prepared to worship God's perfect most spectacular gift, Jesus Christ His Son.

Christmas is a time to reflect upon the first coming of Jesus Christ, but friend it doesn't just stop there.  the Lord Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life.  Jesus laid down His life on the Cross.  He shed His precious blood for you and me and for the entire world.  There is only one way into Heaven and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is Heaven's perfect lamb and He is the only One in the history of the entire world that was able to take our sins upon Himself on the Cross.  Only Jesus Christ bore our sins so we can have forgiveness of our sins and eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Even when we look at all that took place when Jesus first came to the earth Jesus had His mind on the Cross.  It was about the Cross then and it is still about the Cross now.  What a blessed Savior we have in Christ our Lord.  Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission to save us because none of us can save ourselves.   Jesus paid the penalty for our sins because no amount of out good works could ever pay for them on our own.  We need a Savior and thankfully God has provided us with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

We must come to a place in our lives when we realize that we can't save ourselves from our sinfulness.  If we die in our sins we will be eternally separated from God and cast into a literal Hell for all eternity.  I don't want anyone to miss out on forgiveness of their sins and eternal life in Heaven.  I don't want anyone to go to Hell,  but I know that many will because they have refused to receive forgiveness of their sins that is only available through Jesus Christ.

God sent Jesus Christ to the earth out of His great love for all people.  He sent Jesus to endure the Cross and be the ultimate sacrifice for sin.  All who will call on the Lord Jesus and trust in His sacrifice on the Cross will be saved.

Jesus Christ is the best gift anyone could ever receive.  Don't miss out on Heaven.  Make sure  you tell your friends, your co-workers, and even your family about Jesus Christ and all that He has done for them and that He loves them.

God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day and He is now at the right hand of God.  One day Jesus will return and establish His Kingdom upon the earth in full completion.  Let us not forget to prepare our hearts to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  May we live our lives for Him and allow Him to shine His light through us by His Holy Spirit.

Lord,
Thank You for loving us so greatly that You sent Jesus Christ into this world to save us from our sins by dying on the Cross.  Lead us a guide us and help us to prepare our hearts to worship You and love You as we ought.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.
