Words are powerful.
When we speak encouraging words we can build people up and help them draw near to the Lord.
Sometimes the words we speak end up discouraging people. That can hurt our witness for the Lord.
We as Christians should use our words wisely. We should speak in love and grace.
We should be slow to speak and quick to listen.
Colossians 4:6 says,"Let your conversation be always full of Grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
May we speak the truth to each other with grace and love. Let us be mindful of the words we use and remember that we are ambassadors for Christ in this dark lost world.
We are His representatives. May our speech reflect that we belong to Jesus.
Lord,
Help us to build others up with our words and not tear them down. Help us to speak with grace.
