Here Am I. Send Me!

When you think of where you live, no matter where you may be on the planet, do you consider it your mission field.

We who are believers in Christ have been given the command from Jesus which is found in Matthew 28:19 to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

We are to take the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our neighbors, to our families, to our co-workers, and to the world we live in.  We have a mission. We have a calling to answer.

When I think of that calling Isaiah 6 comes to mind.

Isaiah saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted.

Isaiah 6:8 we find the Lord saying, "...Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?"

Isaiah answered the Lord's question saying, "Here am I.  Send me!"

The Lord will help us by empowering us through the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel to our lost and darkened world.

May our reply be like that of Isaiah.
