We live in a dark and troubled world. There is much anger and hatred all around us it would seem. There is a lack of love and even compassion seems to be an endangered species. Many people's hearts have become hardened by all the wickedness that is going on in our world these days.
Yesterday there was another terror attack involving a man driving a rented truck onto a bicycled path in New York City. There seems to be danger everywhere in our world. There is a lot of darkness and there is a lot of misguided people. There are many people who are influenced by the devil's lies.
We believers and followers of Jesus Christ must continue to proclaim the truth of who God is and the truth of His Word. We must continue to proclaim the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ so people can hear the truth about how Jesus came to save sinners such as us.
God is rich in mercy and He is good. God is patient with us. He doesn't desire that anyone perish, but He wants everyone to come to the truth of Jesus Christ and be saved. Unfortunately, There are many people all across the globe who will refuse to repent of their sins and trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
That shouldn't stop us from continuing to proclaim the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every corner of our world. People need to hear the truth. People need to be set free from the bondage of sin and thankfully Jesus Christ can break the chains of bondage if we come to Him by faith and trust in His grace.
The Lord Jesus tells us that we must go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. We have a mission ahead of us and we must do so with the love of the Lord in our very hearts and a love for our neighbor as well.
We must stand firm upon the truth of who Jesus is and the truth of His word. We can't do it in our own strength or power because we are weak. We must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit and submit to His lead and direction for our lives.
Lord,
The world is a dark and scary place.
Sometimes we lose focus and we are sorry when we do.
Lead us and direct our steps by Your Holy Spirit.
