We are definitely living in very troubling times. It seems like there is some new scandal or an attack of some kind going on in our world each and everyday. The News programs on our televisions always seem to be reporting something bad happening somewhere in our world. The world can be a very scary and dark place at times. There seems to be a lot of anger and mistrust as well.
The devil seems to be running around stirring up trouble all over the world because he knows his time is running short. There are many people who are blind to the truth of who God is and they are being led astray to do the devil's bidding. The devil goes around like a roaring lion to see who he can devour and attack.
We believers in Jesus Christ must resist the devil at all cost and cling to the truth of who the Lord is. We must make sure we continue to feed upon His Holy Word, the Bible, by actually reading it and meditating on it. We must guard our minds and hearts against the lies that the world bombard us with.
We live in a sinful fallen world that is broken and bent on destruction. The world is sliding downward with all of it's immorality. There is a lot of wickedness and evil all around us. We believers in Jesus Christ must be on our guard and be led by the Holy Spirit. We must walk in the Spirit by faith each and everyday.
It is easy to get discouraged with all the bad things going on in our world these days, but we must remember that this world is not our home. We believers in Jesus Christ are just pilgrims passing through to our eternal Home in Heaven where we will be with the Lord for ever. I am looking forward to that day when I see my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face.
We must remember that no matter how hard things get for us in this world that there is a better time for us coming when we enter Heaven and we are with the Lord Jesus for all eternity. In Heaven there will be no more tears, no more death, and no more pain. There will be joy, peace, and love that will last forever. We believers in Jesus Christ must keep our gaze upon Him and not allow ourselves to get caught up in the ways of the world. We must cling to the truth of God's Word and be doers of it.
The world is dying. Evil and wickedness will spread. Hard times will come and things will grow worse. People's hearts will continue to grow hard because of all of the wickedness going on all around them. May it no be so for we believers in Jesus Christ. Let us no longer conform to this world, but let's be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
May we remember how great and awesome our God is. God made a way for us to be reconciled back to Himself by sending Jesus to the earth on a rescue mission. We all have sinned against God who is Holy. We are all deserving of eternal punishment in hell because of our sin, but God showed us His great love for us by sending the Lord Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, into this world to live a perfect sinless life. Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. We are saved by grace through our faith in the finished work that Jesus accomplished upon the Cross when He shed His precious blood for our sins.
We don't know what new trouble tomorrow will bring, but we can know that if we are trusting in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we have a Home in Heaven where we will live with Him forever. What a great and awesome Day that will be.
We must continue to keep our focus on the Lord Jesus each and everyday.
Lord,
You are Holy and we praise You.
Forgive us for getting distracted at times.
Help our focus to be on You O Lord.
Lead us and empower us to live for You by Your Holy Spirit.
