Sometimes life can seem so very busy. We run from one thing to the next. Many people are tired and stressed. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to take time to spend with God and His Word. It is important to our relationship with the Lord that we make time to spend with Him in His presence. Yes, He is always present with us, but sometimes we need to go somewhere and just get quiet with Him with our Bibles open.
Our lives can get crazy and our schedules can get hectic, but the Lord urges us to come to Him and find the rest that we need and desire. Times are tough. Things seem to be growing darker in our world these days. The world needs God and we need more of God. Actually, a better way of saying it would be, God needs more of us.
When was the last time you got alone with God and just listened?
Sometimes we like to get alone with God and tell Him everything on our minds and hearts without ever taking time to listen to Him. The Lord has something to say to us through His Word and the Holy Spirit. We need to take time to listen and thank Him for who He is and all that He has done.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
Thank You for all that You have done for us.
Help us to take a time out and spend some quiet time with You.
We come to You Lord to find rest for our weary souls.
Draw us near to You O Lord.
