Look For Me At Jesus Feet

There are a lot of troubling things going on in our world today.  We can look at the newspaper or watch a new broadcast on the television and see the increase of violence and hatred that is going on in areas all around us.  I have to remind myself that I am just a stranger in this world and that this world is not my true home.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ.  He is my Lord and Savior.  I am saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross.  I am a sinner saved by His grace.  My home is in Heaven with the Lord.  What a great day that will be when I and all of those who put their faith and trust in Christ will gather around the throne in Heaven and worship our God and King. 

It reminds me of what John wrote in Revelation 4:1:11 which says,

"1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” 

What a great day indeed it will be when we bow down in the very presence of our Lord and Savior.  We often wonder what Heaven will be like and what will be there.  I think the most important thing will be is that we will be with Jesus for all eternity.  That will be awesome and great because He is awesome and great and worthy of all of our praise. 

I like the song that is entitled "Look for me at Jesus feet."  I first heard it sung by the Booth Brothers and I really liked it a lot.  I actually sang this song this morning in a small Baptist Church in Selden, Maine.  The song reminds me of the great hope that we who are believers in Jesus Christ have.  He is our hope.  He is our Savior and our Lord.  We can't do anything without Him. 

What a great day it will be when we get to Heaven and just be with the Lord Jesus.  There will be no more troubles, no more pain, no sickness, no more death, no sorrow, no fear, no more anger, no sin.  There will be everlasting joy and love in the presence of out Lord Jesus.

When I get to Heaven, you will find me at Jesus feet.  I will be thanking Him for saving a wretch like me.  I am not going to make Heaven on my own merit.  I am not good enough to earn my way into Heaven.  The only way into Heaven is trusting in Jesus finished work on the cross.  Jesus makes the way for us to get into Heaven by us putting our faith and trust in what He did for us.  Jesus died for our sins.  We must repent of our sins and trust and believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Thank You for the promise of Heaven for all who believe and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.
