These are indeed dark times in which we find ourselves living in. The world is a crazy and dangerous place. There is a lot of anger and hatred all around. Sometimes we focus on all the wrong is going on and we forget what the cause of the problem truly is. It is easy to look at the symptoms and point to certain things in society which are wrong without realizing the true source.
The source of society's problem and our world's problem is a problem of the human heart. There is in each one of us a sinful nature. We may not even realize it is there unless God allows us to see it through the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
We are all born into this world with our hearts bent away from a Holy God. We have sin in our hearts from birth that block us from having a relationship with God. God loves us with a deep love. He demonstrated His great love towards us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
The Lord Jesus came to the earth to live a perfect and sinless life. He went to the Cross and shed His blood on the Cross for your, mine, and the worlds sin. He rose to life on the third day to show us that He is indeed God. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and one day He will return to this earth as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
We are all deserving of going to a literal hell for all eternity. God out of His great love for you made a way to be reconciled back to Himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus loves you! He wants you to repent of your sins and trust Him as your Lord and Savior.
Sometimes I am afraid Christians are more known for what they are against then what they are for. I am no exception to that. I am not perfect and I make mistakes and I sin. I am thankful that I am forgiven through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and I am thankful that He is still working in my life through the Holy Spirit who indwells me and everyone that have placed their faith and trust in Him.
I want everyone to come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved so they won't suffer in hell for all eternity. I don't want people to suffer. We need to preach the Word and proclaim the Good News to all the world so many more can come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
Help us to tell others about You and what You did on the Cross.
Help us to have the courage to stand upon Your Word.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name I a pray,
Amen.

God Wins
The world seems to get darker and darker everyday. We believers in Jesus Christ shouldn't be surprised at all of the troubles that are going on in our world today. The Lord Jesus told us that things would grow increasingly worse before His Second Coming when He brings the Kingdom of God to the earth in full completion. He even tells us that the love of most will grow cold because of the increase in wickedness and that is indeed taking place.
It is important for us to know where we stand with the Lord. Are we trusting in Him and His Word? Or have we rejected Him and His principles and are following the world? The world system is anti-Christ and it is bent on throwing God out of society. The devil is right in the middle stirring up trouble and trying to prevent people from coming to the truth of God's Word and the only Savior of the world Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. There is only One Name under Heaven in which people must be saved by and that Name is Jesus Christ. His Name is the Name that is above all names.
We believers in Jesus Christ must continue proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our local communities, our States, Countries, and throughout the world. There is hope for the people of this world through Jesus Christ. Jesus is still in the saving business.
God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Let's continuing reading and studying the Bible. May we apply His Word to our hearts and lives. Let's not lose courage and hope. We must walk by faith and not by sight.
Despite all the evil and wickedness and troubles going on in our world today we know that eventually the Lord Jesus will return. He will punish the wicked and evil doers by bringing them to justice. He will redeem those who have trusted in Him for salvation.
There will be a banner in Heaven which will read, "God Wins". We don't know when the Lord Jesus will return, but we must make sure that we are ready for His return. We need to make sure that our hearts are right with Him. In the end it won't matter what political party we belong to or what nationality we are. What will truly matter is that we are trusting the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins for our salvation.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving us so very much.
Thank You for showing us Your great love by sending us Jesus to rescue us from our sins.
We praise You Name.
Help us not to crumble into fear and discouragement.
Help us to walk in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Come Soon Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

Not Giving Up
This world is filled with trouble. Many people are doing what is right in their own eyes and paying no attention to what is right in God's eyes. Many people have abandoned the truth of who God is and are running after a lie. There are many who want to do what feels right to them and pay no attention to the cost. There is always a cost to our decisions. There is a price to pay.
The Lord is the One who is the Judge of all people. We will all have to answer to Him in the way we lived and the choices that we made. There is a lot of evil and wickedness in our world these days. There are a lot of bad things happening all around our world and in our very communities.
It is very concerning to me and it can be rather depressing. We believers in Jesus Christ must not collapse in fear and despair for our God is a Mighty God. All things are possible with God. He is our Savior and our Deliverer. Yes, we should be concerned and we should be praying. We need to be making disciples for the Lord Jesus and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.
There are many bad things going on, but God is still good. He is good all the time. He is faithful and He is Just in His Judgments. There will be many who run away from the truth of who Jesus is and they run after the world it's lies. The world is being deceived by Satan himself and the world refuses to hear the voice of truth that comes from the Lord God Almighty.
God sent Jesus into this world to testify to the truth and we know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one absolutely no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. Time is running out for the people of this world to repent of their sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith trusting in His Grace.
We believers in Jesus Christ must cling to the Living Hope that is ours in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is amazing and He loves us so very much. Sometimes we get the wrong image of God. Some people see a God is out to get them with a lightening bolt. The Lord doesn't want to destroy us. He loves us and He wants us to love Him above everything else. He doesn't want us to destroy ourselves by not coming to the truth of who He is.
The Lord is patient with us and He is giving people time to repent of their sins and turn to the only Savior of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only One that died for the sins of the whole world. God sent Jesus on a rescue mission to save us from the penalty to sin. God gives us the gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus shed is blood for our sins and we must receive His payment for our sins in order for us to have forgiveness of our sins and an eternal Home in Heaven.
Sin is serious. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. We must repent of our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus. The means we need a course change. We need to confess our sins to the Lord and trust the shed blood of Christ as a payment for our sins.
The world refuses to hear the truth because they don't want to give up their sinful evil practices. Their hearts have become hard and the truth just bounces off of them. We believers must continue in proclaiming the truth because there may indeed be someone that listens and turn from their sin and to the Lord. Even if one person comes to faith in the Lord Jesus it will be well worth the effort.
Let's not give up doing good to one another and may we continue to run the race the Lord have set before us with our eyes securely upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord,
Help us not to be discouraged and give up.
Grant us the strength we need to run the race that You set before us.
Empower us through Your Holy Spirit to do Your will.
I pray for traveling mercies tomorrow and prayers for my mother who is having a doctors appointment.
Thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and Your faithfulness.
Come Quickly, Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.

Embracing the Absolute Truth of Jesus Christ
We are living in an age where people are doing what is right in their own eyes. We are all free to make the choices we make, but rest assure that there are always consequences to those choices. We will sow what we have reaped.
The devil has gone out into the world with his demons to spread lies and deceive the nations. Satan is running all over creation stirring up trouble and trying to prevent people for coming to the absolute truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The devil is pretty crafty in spreading his lies because they can seem very compelling.
We must guard our minds with the truth about God by reading the Bible and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit so we won't be led astray to follow the desires of the fleshly nature. Many people nowadays haven't opened a Bible in years and have no idea how valuable God's Word truly is.
God speaks to us through the Bible as we read. There are things that are hard to understand in the Bible, but God will help us to understand through the Holy Spirit and through Bible study. God's Word is still very relevant in this day and age. God's Word is alive and sharper than a double edged sword.
There are many young people who have gone astray because they bought the lie of the devil and embraced foolish thinking of the world. We must continue to pray for those who have gone astray and we must pray that the Lord would bring them back into the fold.
Some people have never experienced the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. I must admit some local churches aren't shining the light of Christ as brightly as they ought to be. There are people all around us that need to hear about the love of Jesus Christ and what He has done for all of us on the Cross.
God demonstrated His great love for each one of us by sending Jesus Christ to this world to die on a Cross for our sins, past, present, and future. We must realize our sinfulness and our inability to save our selves. We must turn away from our sins and turn to Christ Jesus by faith.
We must continue to trust the Lord each and everyday. The world is a dark and scary place. The truth is only revealed in the Bible and through the Lord Jesus Christ. We must stand upon the truth and never part from it.
There will come a day when we will die. That is one of the things we each have in common, isn't it? We don't like to think about it, but it is very true. We never see any 250 year olds walking around these days. We are all born into this world and one day there will be a day when we die unless the Lord should come.
People die once and then face the judgment. When we die we will have to answer to God for the things we believed and what we did with Jesus. Did we receive Him as our Lord and Savior and live for Him? or Did we reject Him and live for the world?
Those who refuse to trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are still in their sins and they will have to pay the penalty of their sins on their own and they will be sent to a literal hell outside the presence of the Living God. Those whom trusted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior have had their sins washed in the shed blood of the Lamb. They will enter Heaven to be with the Lord forever not because of anything they did on their own, but because they trusted the Lord and His finished work on the Cross.
We are all sinners. We have all sinned and we have all fallen far short of God's high standards. We can't save ourselves. There are no amount of good works that we can do on our own to make us right with God. You need to repent of your sins and trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior before its too late.
I am not a perfect man. I have sinned against the Lord time and time again. I have failed many times. I am a wretched sinful man and I can't save myself. I am weak and I stumble a lot. I have my weaknesses and I know you have yours. I am saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. I am thankful that there is still power in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am thankful that after we come to faith in Christ that the Holy Spirit comes to indwell within us to make us more Christ like each and everyday until we are taken to Heaven where we believers in Christ will dwell with Him forever.
May we trust the Lord each and everyday. May the Lord grant us the wisdom we need in order to live for Him in this world that bombards us with lies from the devil. Lets walk in the absolute truth of God's Holy Word.
I like what Proverbs Chapter 3 says,
"My child,[a] never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
2 If you do this, you will live many years,
and your life will be satisfying.
3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
4 Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
8 Then you will have healing for your body
10 Then he will fill your barns with grain,
and your vats will overflow with good wine.
14 For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
and her wages are better than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 She offers you long life in her right hand,
and riches and honor in her left.
17 She will guide you down delightful paths;
all her ways are satisfying.
18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
happy are those who hold her tightly.
20 By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth,
and the dew settles beneath the night sky.
22 for they will refresh your soul.
23 They keep you safe on your way,
and your feet will not stumble.
24 You can go to bed without fear;
you will lie down and sleep soundly.
25 You need not be afraid of sudden disaster
or the destruction that comes upon the wicked,
26 for the Lord is your security.
He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
28 If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say,
“Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”
30 Don’t pick a fight without reason,
when no one has done you harm.
32 Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord,
but he offers his friendship to the godly.
We need to trust the Lord and not lean on our own understanding. The Lord wants us to trust Him and walk in His way. We must stand firm upon the truth of who God is. Jesus said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
If you are reading this and you have wondered away from the truth I pray that you would go to the Lord Jesus in prayer and talk to Him. He will help you see the truth.
Lord,
My heart is heavy for those who have departed from the truth.
I pray that You would bring them back to You before it is too late.
I pray for wisdom and my witness.
Forgive me my sins of commission and my sins of omission.
Come Soon Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name I pray,

29 Don’t plot harm against your neighbor,

31 Don’t envy violent people
or copy their ways.

32 Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord,

33 The Lord curses the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the home of the upright.

Why Didn't Someone Do Something?
The world is increasing in wickedness and spiritual darkness is spreading. The love of many people is growing colder. We live in very troubling and trying times. People are doing what is right in their own eyes. There needs to be a call of repentance. There needs to be a Spiritual Awakening.
I just read an article that said the State of New York just passed a law that said it was now legal to abort (murder) an unborn baby (human being) up to birth. I find this very highly disturbing and I hope you do as well. When the law was passed there were people who stood up and gave a round of applause.
When people start applauding the savaged slaughter of human beings that have not yet had the chance to be born, what will they do us who have been born? The wickedness will continue to increase and the darkness will continue until the Lord Jesus returns.
Many Christians remain silent and many refuse to stand up for the truth. I admit that it is hard to take a stand against evil, but the Body of Christ must do what is right and stand for the truth. We must confront evil with good.
We must pray that the Lord would turn people's hearts from evil and wickedness. We must pray that the Lord would empower us with boldness to proclaim the truth of the Gospel message before the law makers start coming for us.
I read another article that talked about a grandfather that took his little granddaughter to the Holocaust museum and she asked her grandfather at the end of the visit, "Why didn't someone do something?" Is that what people will be saying decades from now concerning things going on in or world today?
It is so very easy to just live our own lives and pay really no attention to what is happening all around us. This world is dying. There are people all around us that are literally heading for hell because they refuse to turn to God through Jesus Christ.
The Gospel must be preached and the Truth of God's Word must be proclaimed. We must take our stand for the Lord and His Word. Please pray for the United States of America to repent of her sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for all Nations to repent and turn to the Lord.
Lord,
These are scary times and things just seem to be getting worse.
I thank You Lord that You are still at work.
Help us to take a stand for what is right in Your eyes.
Help us to confront evil with good.
I pray for a call of repentance throughout this world.
Come quickly Lord Jesus with Your Kingdom.
In Jesus Mighty Name we pray,
Amen.

Is that what people will be saying decades from now concerning things going on in or world today?
In Jesus Mighty Name we pray,
Amen.

Placing Our Faith In Jesus
Sometimes our world seems to be falling apart at the seams. There are times when we will face uncertain circumstances and we aren't sure how things will work out. Sometimes our faith is shaken to it's core. We will eventually all face a test of our faith.
When we look at the Bible we see time and time again that the people who followed the Lord had times when their faith was put to the test. Abraham's faith was tested when God sent him to a mountain where God told him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. The Lord stopped Abraham from going through with it and provided a ram. Abraham learned that the Lord provides.
Our faith needs to have times of testing in order for it to grow. Just like our muscles need to get exercised in order to grow stronger so to does our faith need to exercised. It is important for us to know what our faith is in. Many people in our world today say they have faith, but few ever say what their faith is in.
Our faith needs a focus. It needs to be founded on a firm foundation of truth and security. God, the Creator of everything seen and unseen, sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, because He loved the world so very much so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). We can also read Hebrews chapter 11 which goes through the Hall of Fame of people in the Bible that had faith in the Lord and His promises.
The other day we talked about being persistent in our prayers just as the widow was persistent with the unjust judge in seeking justice. Her persistence paid off. God is not like the unjust judge. He invites us to come to Him with prayers of faith.
I live in the State of Maine and a few years ago we ranked towards the bottom of the list of States that had the least amount of faith. Isn't that sad. Even people that go to church seem to have a lack of faith at times. Sometimes it is so very easy just to go with the flow and get trapped in tradition without ever exercising our faith in the Lord.
We rarely hear people proclaiming genuine faith in the Lord in public arenas. I want my faith to grow. I want to see the Lord Jesus move in a great and mighty way through my life in and in the lives of those all around me where I live. I want to live more by faith than by sight.
I believe God is still at work in my life and in the lives of those all around my area. I believe God has a plan and a wonder purpose that He is working out in His perfect timing.
May we set our sights upon the Lord Jesus Christ for He is the author and finisher of our faith.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
Increase our faith O Lord.
Grant us a fresh faith.
Help us to see Your hand upon our lives.
Show us Your direction and Help us to know Your purpose.
We surrender ourselves into Your hands.
Help us to walk by faith and not by sight.
You are God and You are in control.
Thank You, Lord, for all that You have done for us.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

Keep on Praying and Don't Give Up
Sometimes we look at all the problems of this world and we can feel ever so discouraged. It seems like everything is just spiraling downward towards a deep dark abyss. There is almost a sense of impending doom in the air.
I live in an area that is under the threat of a major snow storm and people have been coming to the grocery store where I work to buy supplies. People panic when there is a big snow storm predicted. Sometimes we panic when we feel unprepared and worried about things that are going on in our world around us.
Sometimes we have no idea what to do and we may even feel like giving up when the challenges and troubles we face seem so very overwhelming. When troubles come we must not give into the temptation to give up. Instead of giving up we should pray.
Prayer is often times seen by people as something to do as a last resort when all our other options have failed. May that not be so for the believer in Jesus Christ. We are to be a people of prayer. Prayer is a vital part of the Christian's life. We get to talk to God and we also get to listen to Him as well. The Lord speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, He speaks to us through promptings of the Holy Spirit, and He also speaks to us through fellow believers in Jesus Christ.
Jesus was teaching His disciples one time and He was telling them that they should always pray and never give up. He told them a parable of a Widow and a unjust judge which is found in Luke 18:1-8 which says,
"One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
2 “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. 3
A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’
4 The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people,
5 but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. 7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man[a] returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

The window was persistent with her wanting justice. She kept at the unjust judge until finally he gave in to her request. Jesus was teaching His followers to be persistent in prayers.
God is nothing like the unjust judge who needed to be bothered time and time again in order to him to grant justice. God is the just judge and He wants to hear from His children. We whom have trusted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior are God's children.
The Lord wants to hear our request and we can be assured that He will listen and He will indeed answer all of our prayers. Sometimes we only think of an answered prayer as getting what we want. The Lord may answer our prayers with a yes and we do get what we asked for in prayer. The Lord may answer no or not right now and those are also possible answers to our prayers.
We may not always get what we ask for in prayer in the way we want. The Lord knows the full picture and the Lord's timing is always perfect. The Lord will answer our prayers in His timing and in accordance to His will.
We must never give up in coming boldly to the throne of grace with all of our prayers and concerns. We can go to the Lord in prayer at anytime and there is not limit to the number of times we can talk to Him. We are never a bother to the Lord. He wants us to call out Him and have faith that He will answer.
Let's lift up holy hands in prayer to the Lord and trust Him to answer our calls of pray to Him. May we pray in faith and trust in Him to answer in His timing and according to His will. God is good and He loves us. We must keep praying and calling out to the Lord. We must never give up.
Lord,
Life is hard and sometimes we feel like giving up.
Help us to be strong and courageous.
Holy Spirit help us to pray in accordance to the will of God.
Lord Jesus we praise Your Holy Name.
Father God, than You for loving us so dearly and providing for all of our genuine needs.
Come Soon Lord Jesus.
Lord, I pray for those who don't know You.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

Finding Jesus in the Midst of Our Storms
There are many troubling things occurring in our world these days. There is the U.S. Government partial shutdown that's been going on for far too long now and there is major snow storm that is heading towards the Northeastern U.S. where I live. There are many things that are going on all over our world that can cause us to feel stressed and fearful.
We all have experienced hardships and we know that hardships and difficult times come to all of us at some point. Sometimes it feels like our faith is being tested and we may wonder if things will ever get better. We may feel deep grief and sorrow and even discouragement. We may feel very afraid about the storm that we are going through in life or we may be worried that a life storm may be just over the horizon.
Matthew 8:23-27
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”

We may feel very afraid about the storm that we are going through in life or we may be worried that a life storm may be just over the horizon.
Matthew 8:23-27
23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping
.
25The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”
I remember reading of the time when Jesus and His disciples were on a boat in the middle of the Sea of Galilee. A storm arose and the wind picked up speed. The rain was coming down in buckets and the waves were bouncing the tiny ship was tossed.
I can only image how the disciples felt. It was dark and lonely out there on the lake. They were tired and the storm just seemed to be very bad. They were scared that they were going to die. That's never a good feeling to have for anyone. Sometimes we face horrible situations that make us afraid and we just don't know what to do or where to turn.
The disciples did what we all should do when we are facing a storm in our life. They went to Jesus. They found Jesus sleeping in the boat while the storm raged all around them. Jesus got up and rebuked the storm and it stopped. The winds and waves obeyed the Lord's command. He spoke peace into the storm.
The Lord Jesus is with us in our storm of life as well. No matter what we are going through Jesus is right there with us. We need to turn to Him and talk to Him. Jesus isn't asleep, but He is very much awake and an ever present help in our time of need.
Go to the Lord Jesus in prayer and turn your storm over to Him. The Lord will speak to your storm and bring peace and calmest to your heart as you go through it. He may not remove the storm or difficulty, but we can know that He will help us through it as we set our eyes upon Him.
Lord,
Storms are scary at times.
We need Your help through them.
Bring a quiet calm to our souls.
We love You Lord and we thank You for loving us.
We praise Your Name.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

For The Time Is Near
It is pretty easy for us to tell when the seasons of the year change at least for us that live in places that have the four seasons of the year. I live in Northern Maine where we do have the four seasons. We can tell when winter is coming to an end after lingering around for several months because things will start to feel warmer and the snow starts to melt away slowly revealing our lawns that have been covered by mounds of snow. The sun will start to feel warmer and birds and other wild life will start to reappear after a long winter of absence.
We can tell when the seasons of the year change pretty easily. We can also tell that by looking at the world around us and all the upheaval that the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus is growing very near. Each day that passes is a day closer to His return. It is so very important for us to be ready and not allow that Day to catch us off guard and not ready.
The Wrath of God will be poured out upon all of those who have denied the Lord Jesus Christ and have rejected His free gift of salvation that He provides to each of us through His shed blood. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God still in our sins.
God made a way for us to have our sins forgiven by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth on a rescue mission to save us from our sins. Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life and died on the Cross for our sins, past, present, and future. Jesus arose on the third day and is now at the right hand of the Father in Heaven where He is interceding on our behalf to the Father. One Day Jesus will return to this earth as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. On that Day He will bring the Kingdom of God to the earth in full completion.
(Read Revelation 1:1-8 : https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+1%3A1-8&version=NLT )
The Day is drawing near for the return of Jesus Christ and we believers in Jesus Christ must stand firm upon the truth of God's Word and our testimony in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church needs to be continually in prayer and proclaiming the Gospel message until the Day the Lord comes.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
Help us to be Your witness in this word to the truth of the Gospel.
Help us to Go into all the world to tell the world about Jesus and their need for Him.
Come Soon Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.

Remembering to Look to Jesus in Our Times of Trouble
There are a lot of people who are suffering in our world these days. We all face difficult times and circumstances. The Lord Jesus told His disciples that in this world they would have trouble and we know those words are for us as well. In this world in which we find ourselves living we will surely face troubles of various sizes.
Some troubles we can bring on ourselves while others just seem to come upon us unexpectedly through no fault of our own. I don't like troubles, but I have been around long enough to know they will come to each of us eventually.
Some people think that after they become a believer in Jesus Christ that their troubles will just go away, but that is not true. Sometimes our troubles may actually may increase just because we decided to follow Jesus. There are believers in Christ that have been persecuted horribly for believing in Jesus and some have been rejected by their own families because of their decision to follow the Lord Jesus.
In the midst of our suffering and trouble it can be all too easy to feel hopeless and full of sorrow. Sorrows do indeed come, but we must remind ourselves that we believers in Jesus Christ have a great living hope in Jesus Christ. This world is not our home. Home for the believer is in Heaven where all of those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins will go to be with the Lord for all eternity.
Life will be hard and troubling at times here in this world, but we must press on toward the prize before us. We must continually set our eyes upon the Lord Jesus Christ no matter how heart wrenching the troubles we will face. We can't do it in our own strength, but we need to get our strength from the Lord through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Lord,
We are in trouble a lot down here.
We need Your help and direction.
Help us O Lord to find comfort in You and Your Word and other believers in Christ.
We need You every moment of everyday.
Thank you Jesus for You love and the living hope we have in You.
We are weak and helpless without You.
Give us strength.
Grant us courage.
Comfort us so we can be a comfort to others.
Come Soon O Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

Jesus is Our Cure for Discouragement
In this world it is so very easy feel discouraged over something. The days are growing dark and there is negativity everywhere we look. We are living in difficult and trying times. There are a lot of angry people in our world these days. If you've ever worked with the public you know definitely what I am talking about. I work in retail and sometimes people can rub you the wrong way and sometimes it works the other way around too if I am to be honest.
It is so very easy to get discouraged if we aren't careful. We need to be guarding what we read and watch on the television and make sure we don't get sucked into the abyss of negativity and despair. We need to make sure that our eyes are still focused on the Lord Jesus Christ and we need to remind ourselves that our hope is not in any political leader, president, preacher, or nation. Our hope needs to be firmly established upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
We need to continue to read the Word of God, the Bible, everyday and ask the Holy Spirit to help us to understand what we are reading and we need to apply the Word to our hearts and lives. We sometimes feel like we are at the end of our rope and that we are ready to break. We must not give up and continue running the race the Lord has placed us in.
The road is long and difficult. The journey will be tough and lonely. We may feel discouraged and depressed but we must press onward towards the goal of our faith. We must continue towards the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and trust in His grace.
We have a choice to be discouraged by the way things are in our lives and in this world or we can chose to be encouraged by meditating on God's Word and proclaiming our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to those around us.
I felt rather discouraged today, but I know that the Lord will work things out in His perfect timing and I just need to trust Him more. The Lord is always faithful and true to His Word. Let's be encouraged in the Lord Jesus Christ and His wonderful mercy that He bestows upon us each and everyday.
Lord,
Help us not to be discouraged by the things going on around us and in our lives.
Help us O Lord to love You more and more.
We praise Your Name.
Lead us through Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

A Call To Repent and Turn to Jesus Christ
There is a lot of division in our world these days. It would seem that people have a hard time agreeing on a large number of topics. We are living in troubling and perilous times. There is also an attack on truth.
There are some people that think that people should be able to do whatever they want to do and live as they want to live. We all have choices to make, but there is a right way and a wrong way to live. We will reap what we sow whether good or bad. The wrong choice can have devastating consequences especially when eternity is on the line.
The world is busy doing what is right in their own eyes and not caring about what God thinks. What we do and how we live matter to God. Many people in our society don't give a second thought to what God thinks about anything, but they should.
God created us in His image and it is His desire that we honor Him with our lives. The Lord loves each one of us so greatly and deeply. He wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us and that is only available through faith in Jesus Christ.
The world has rebelled against the true living God and God has given them over to their sinful nature because they refuse to repent of their sins and come to faith in Jesus Christ in order to have their sins washed white as snow through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Satan has blinded the eyes and hearts of those who refuse to come to the true living God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no other Name under Heaven in which we must be saved by and that is the name of Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save us from our sins and He is the only one that can bring us into Heaven.
The world has no excuse for the Lord has made Himself known through His creation and through His Holy Word. There is a day coming when the Lord will Judge the living and the dead. We each must be ready and we each must make sure that we are on the Lord's side on not on the world's side.
Romans 1:18-32
18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
The wrath of God will come upon all of those who refuse to repent of their sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness. The people of the world have traded the truth of God for a lie and they will reap what they have sown at the Judgment of God. Those who are still in their sins will be placed into a literal hell totally separated from God.
There is still time to repent and turn to God by placing our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by shedding His blood on the Cross. The world needs to hear the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and turn from their wicked sinful ways. The world needs to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Time is running out for them and everyone that has refused to repent of their sins and turn to Jesus.
There needs to be a call out to the people of the world to repent of their sins and evil ways. People need to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ before it's too late. The Day of Judgment will come very soon. The Church needs to awaken from it's sleep and start preaching the Gospel truth to hopefully save some.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
We love You.
I pray for the people of this world who refuse to repent of their sins and turn to You.
I love them and I don't want to see them go to hell.
Please O Lord have mercy on these people and turn their hearts to You.
I pray for an awakening of the Church to preach the Word in season and out of season.
I pray for the spread of the Gospel throughout this world.
Lead us through Your Holy Spirit and may Your will be done.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.

19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.
20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.
22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.
23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.
25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.
27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.
28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.
30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents.
31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.
32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.

Through the Fire with the Lord
There are times in our lives when we feel frustrated. We may even feel like giving up. We may wonder, "What is the use of trying?" We all face difficult times and trials in life. Sometimes during those times God may seem distant. We may feel disconnected from Him.
The truth is that God never moves. The Lord is always with us each step of the way. He promises us in His Word that He will never leave us nor will He ever forsake us. We sometimes drift away from God. It doesn't happen right away, but it happens gradually over time if we aren't careful.
The Lord loves us and He is waiting for us to turn to Him. The Lord loves us and He is rich in mercy. Sometimes we go through fiery trials and we don't know what to do. Sometimes the trials and test of faith leave us feeling drained and full of sorrow.
We need to learn to lean upon the Lord and trust Him to bring us through the fire. The Lord is shaping us into the person He has made us to be. The Lord is nor finished with us yet. When we come to faith in Christ the Holy Spirit comes to indwell us and His work will continue throughout our lives until the day when we go home to Heaven to be with the Lord forever.
When I feel like I am going through a fiery trial I remember the time when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were tossed into a fiery furnace because they refused to bow down and worship a statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Daniel 3:19-25,
19 Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual.
The truth is that God never moves. The Lord is always with us each step of the way. He promises us in His Word that He will never leave us nor will He ever forsake us. We sometimes drift away from God. It doesn't happen right away, but it happens gradually over time if we aren't careful.

20 Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.
21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully dressed in their pants, turbans, robes, and other garments.
22 And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in.
23 So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, securely tied, fell into the roaring flames.
24 But suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?” “Yes, Your Majesty, we certainly did,” they replied.
25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god !”
The three men trusted in the Lord and they refused to bow down to a false idol. The Lord delivered them from the fiery furnace by sending them help. The Lord Jesus will be with us during those times when we feel like we are in a furnace and about ready to be burned up.
Whatever hardships or persecutions that come our way we can know that the Lord will see us through and bring us safely home to Heaven where we shall dwell with the Lord forever. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
The Lord can make something good out of the bad things that happen to us. Sometimes we have to learn some things and sometimes we have to humble ourselves because we have gone off track. We must not allow ourselves to give up on doing good.
Living in this dark cold world can be hard and even lonely. We may feel like no one cares what we are doing or what we are going through, but the good news is that Jesus cares and He loves you. Even if no one ever notices what we are doing we can know that God notices. The Lord knows our hearts and He provides for us.
Jesus is our Savior and He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. May we humble ourselves and turn our eyes upon Jesus who will bring us through the fire that we find ourselves in.
Lord,
Thank You for being with us even when things get difficult.
Thank You for Your love and mercy.
Help us to love You more and more.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.

Resting In The Promises of Jesus Christ
We look at all the troubling things going on in the world around us and we wonder if there is any hope. Sometimes it is hard to see hope amid the daily struggles that we face. We all face struggles of various sizes. We look at the balance in our checking accounts and we wonder if we will have enough money to pay our bills. We worry about our loved ones health and their well being.
We are living in very troubling times. Sometimes it is easy to feel hopeless and all alone when the world seems to be spinning out of control. World leaders argue back and forth. Our Government leaders can't seem to agree on anything. It could be very easy to collapse into despair and panic, but we need to remember that their is still hope for all of us.
We are not alone in this world. We don't have to go it alone. There is a God who loves us with a deep and unconditional love. He didn't create the world and leave us to fend for ourselves. He is still active in this world today. God demonstrated His love for each of us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross to pay for our sins. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and One Day He will return to this earth to rule as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We have a wonderful hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus Christ that we can have forgiveness of our sins and an eternal home in Heaven where we will dwell with the Lord forever. This hope is available for everyone that has placed their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. We must humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ through placing our faith in His finished work on the Cross.
We will all face daily struggles and there will be hard hills that we must climb, but we can rest assured that the Lord will be with us each step of the way when we are trusting in Him. The Lord loves us and He will never leave us nor will He ever forsake us. There will be times when we will feel like giving up and we may even wonder if things will ever get better. When we are trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ we can be sure that things will eventually get better one day. It may not happen until we enter into Heaven and see the Lord Jesus with our very own eyes, but that day will come for the believer in Christ.
Let's not give up in doing good. Let's keep our eyes upon the Lord and remember our hope is not in the world and the things of this world, but our hope rests securely in the Lord Jesus Christ. May we draw nearer to the Lord and may we rest in the great promises of the Lord.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
Help us to keep our focus on You.
Thank You Lord for leading our steps.
Come Soon Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.

Trusting the Lord Throughout the New Year
Happy New Year! This is the first day of a brand new year. We don't know what the days ahead will bring, but we believers in Jesus Christ can rest assured that the Lord will be with us each step of the way. God is always good and He is always true to His word. The Lord loves us and He will take care of us.
We may indeed encounter troubles along life's pathway, but we know that the Lord will see us through. The Lord is the Creator and sustainer of all things. The world is growing darker and more troubling day by day, but we must remember the wonderful living hope that we have in the Lord.
God demonstrated His great love towards each one of us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to save us from our sins. We have all sinned and we have all fallen short of God's high standard.
Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life. He went obediently to the Cross where He bled and died for our sins. We all need to repent of our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith trusting in His grace. We can't save ourselves we need a Savior and there is only One Savior that can make us right with the true living God and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
We need to trust the Lord Jesus Christ with our salvation of course and we also need to trust Him each and everyday of our lives. The Lord is faithful and we can trust Him. May we trust the Lord more and more throughout the year ahead.
Lord,
We praise Your Name.
We don't know what this New Year holds for us, but we will trust You throughout it.
Lead us and guide us by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen.
